My wife and I ate here for our second wedding anniversary.

I ordered the salmon and she ordered the rib eye steak. Both of our meals were frankly terrible. The salmon was the worst I have ever tasted, it had a very strong fishy flavor, and I left most of it untouched on my plate. The sides (mashed potatoes and broccoli) were also disappointing and I left some of them on my plate as well.

My wife's rib eye steak was not a particularly high quality cut of meat and it had more tendons and grissle than I would expect when paying so much for a steak. The real tragedy was the entire steak was covered in teriyaki sauce. Yes, that's right. They covered a steak in teriyaki sauce. It is literally as bad as your imagination will allow you to believe. A large portion was left untouched on the plate when we left.

Let's just say it had probably been over twenty years since either of us has left any food on any plate prior to our visit to Houston's.

this used to be my favorite place to eat. but the attitudes of the staff sometimes are bad. food is good but not as good as it used to be and the prices have went up

Great food and drink. A+ atmosphere. Quick service and great hostessing.
