We had 4 bids for some major foundation repair, and they were the most expensive. Family had used them years ago and they made great promises, so we signed the contract. All was well and they quickly cashed the $2000 deposit check. The day they were supposed to start, it kept getting delayed and delayed. A problem when we work, and have to keep changing the schedule, and have to get it done before winter.
They finally showed up to work on a day that 100% rain was expected. When I asked about it,the salesman (who we never heard from again and would not return our calls) assured us that weather would have no effect on the hydrolic jacks being installed, the yard/deck would look perfect when they were done, better than lifetime guarantee on everything, yada, yada, yada.
It rained that night and because the holes 8 feet deep around the foundation were not covered, our basement was flooded. This house has Never had water in the basement until Dry Basement got involved.
There is no 24 hour emergency number (heaven forbid something happen during non-business hours) so we had to wait until 8am to reach someone.
Once they were aware of the problem, they only let us talk to the GM (we wanted the salesman who promised us it would be fine, or the owner). First thing the GM told us was that they were not responsible for the weather, and we should read the fine print in the disclosures. The issue was we asked, and were assured of no problems with rain, plus, the holes should have been covered and were not.
The workers were totally unconcerned, and asked if I had fans to dry out the basement. Tons of stuff was ruined and wet (boxes of photo albums, army documents and keepsakes from my parents childhood), and I was busy trying to dry them off with a blow dryer and savage some of my history.
I laughed (being ready to cry) and said that THEY were dry basement, and don't they have fans? He said they did but he would have to go back to the office to get them.
He finally got the fans, and we again heard from the GM (Curtis) that we would know nothing was their fault if we read the disclosures. Really, we were spending $13000 to fix problems, and they created more. I guess with them it is truly BUYER BEWARE.
Because of the rain, and the backhoe left on our yard, it is incredibly ripped up, and the fence they removed was never repaired. They showed up to pick up the fans and collect a check the next day. Would not respond to our request to fix the lawn, fill in the holes left around the foundation, or repair the fence.
I sent in a complaint to the BBB, but it was listed as information only so it does not appear on their complaint page (funny, since Dry Basement advertises for BBB and now the complaint is not published).
Had I known the horrible service from this company, I would never have even called for an estimate. I am praying there are no issues with the foundation. i'm sure the better than lifetime warranty is not valid for some reason printed in the disclosure. This is just my opinion, and I have plenty of photos to back it up. Sure do wish I had used the company that seemed so professional for several thousand less, and not depended on reputation when Otto ran the company.

I had three of the guys come out to replace my basement windows today. I'd like to tell you that they were extraordinarily polite, respectful of my belongings and my home. They cleaned up all of their mess, just as well as I would have done it myself. They never asked to use my restroom, they never bothered me once all day.
When I did talk to them, off and on, they were just extremely friendly and polite. They even went out of their way to cut down THREE bushes that I had been procrastinating on for months now. They EVEN hauled them away! WOW! That's all I can say, is WOW! I did read about the company not paying their employees well and that is very sad. I hope that is not true.
These guys were out in the hot sun all day, sweating their butts off and working as hard as any man could possibly work. I really wish I could have bought beer for them and been able to cook them a nice dinner. I feel really sorry for them having such a hard job. They were so nice and it practically brings ne to tears. They did an amazing job and I mean amazing. I'd hire them to do work on my house anytime.
Thank you so much guys! You are SUPER hard workers!!!

i spent a small fortune with dry basement to have a dry basement but every dime was worth it! i had my doubts about it. i couldnt see where the water was coming from but i could see that it was coming in. somehow they found the leak and fixed it. they also hooked me up with a better sump pump that looks much nicer and works better. if your basement is leaking run don't walk to dry basement! :)

One of our customers sent this letter: ""An explosion in the South Kansas City area in the 1980's caused years of foundation problems including leaning walls and a leaky basement. I did my homework on companies to do the foundation work, and you were my choice because you had and A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and over 34 years of experience in the metro area! If I had to do this all over again, I would choose Dry Basement again, absolutely hands down!""
