Cold Storage Lofts

I was warned by numerous people not to move into Cold Storage. I lived there only a year and my experience was not too good.

Three people died inside the building.

A woman was robbed and r*ped in the parking lot.

A saw a man get stabbed right next to the building the first month I lived there.

Numerous vehicles were broken into and or/stolen

Parking spaces are very small and my vehicle got hit several times.

I would say if your a single female or parent with kids this place is not for you.

The management is so so. The new management is very young and not the most professional.

There are several lofts up the street that are nicer and most importantly safer. They are also around the same price.

Cold Storage Lofts is a beautiful historic building in the heart of Kansas City. You can't beat the value or the location for downtown living. The team at Cold Storage is constantly making improvements to amenities (business center, pool and fitness center) and surrounding area (landscaping). I would recommend Cold Storage to anyone that enjoys loft style living and a prime location near downtown KC.

Filthy building, old crappy appliances, paper thin walls, no safe place for your guests to park. Incredibly slow maintenance. You will hear everything your neighbors are doing, and pray they do.t smoke because everything you own will smell like cigarettes. My electric bills over the summer were about 175 every month and I didn't even have my air on that high. I would not recommend this place to my family, friends, or even strangers. Plus they are about to raise the rent for the second time in six months.
