Great for pet supplies, however do NOT buy straw from them. I asked them specifically if their straw was weed/seed free and suitable for garden use. I was assured it was. As soon as I began to spread it I realized it was not straw, but HAY. Hay is full of grain seeds, grass seeds, weeds.. I immediately started removing it, but the damage was done. Now I have alfalfa and grass growing all over the garden bed I'd just completely dug out and re-filled with new weed free top soil and garden soil. They apparently do not know there is a difference between straw and hay and definitely don't know what products they're carrying and would rather make the sale then admit they don't have knowledge of a product.
Proud to support a local, historic feed store. In comparison pricing their prices are in line with anyone else. The difference is the freshness of the feed/seed like finch Niger seed, you know it hasn't been bagged, on the self for weeks/months. Take kids here, they need to 'experience' what shopping at a "county farm/seed store" is like before it's GONE.
I have called many times and was provided exceptional customer service. The gentleman has carried my bags of dog food to my truck each time. He's always helpful and informative. He's very polite and respectful. I can not say enough good things about Waldo Grain. Since moving to the area I will not shop anywhere else for my animals needs.
I love going to buy bird seed and peanuts at Waldo Grain. Love the old wooden floors and the "antique" smell. Reminds me of my Granny's old grocery store. The owners are always helpful and put the bird seed in my car.
Waldo Grain is the best. Closest place to find chicken food in waldo, and you can buy it by the pound.
