The management of Crane Yard is by far the worst I have come across over the last 3 years of business. I have yet to receive an order arrive without mishap. I am constantly having to recheck everything the staff says and even when I think everything has been communicated, something new comes up. I've had every experience from getting the wrong glaze material delivered (ruined a hole batch of work and was never apologized to or compensated for the mixup) to being told a cone 8-10 slip would work for cone 6 firings (only to find out that 800+ pieces and two weeks of hard work would be trash because it's not food safe). The staff holds their head high as if they know what they're talking about, but in my experience, when it comes down to application, they don't know what they're doing, making or selling. Additionally, the customer service is terrible. I've been blamed for almost every mistake they've made, questioned as if I don't know what I'm doing, and have rarely been compensated for the mistakes they've made. Every time I order I think it'll be the last mistake they make and am just so disappointed after all the effort and trust I put in them that they can't get their facts or operation in line. If this business is serious about supporting local artists, they need to seriously consider new management.
