Bethlehem Home Healthcare is ran by a family that is a complete farce. One of the leaders within the company and the son "Philip Mabion" of the father "Raymond Mabion" that started the company recently murdered his wife and then took his own life leaving his 3 children without a mom. http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/crime/article165011862.html. The acts of this "man" are a reflection of the family as a whole. This business also has had several issues with the IRS in recent years due to delinquent tax payments. They have had employees quit due to their shady business tactics and issues with running payroll on a consistent basis. Philip paid doctors under the table for patient referrals. He also claimed false appointments with patients to receive payment from the government for the services. Even through all of this, Philip was making a 6 figure income for a failing business. They take advantage of citizens within the community that typically do not have the means to pay for a reputable facility. All you have to do is go to their office and see that it is an old broke down home. Definitely not a business or the people you want to hand over the care for your loved ones to. Take this as a warning and stay as far away as you can from this business.
They are very good people to work with and very knowledgeable. I like the way they treat you and how they respect you.
I worked for American home care for close to a year and it is by far the worst home care company I have ever worked for. It seemed pretty good at the beginning, but once the management changed, it became as hassle each and every day. Not only did they give out my number to the clients, but they encouraged the clients to call me. One day I got 20 calls from the same client. Let me say that I do not mind a client calling me, but not to excess. I informed the office and they did nothing about it. I had to send my paperwork in the mail every week with no extra money given for envelopes or stamps. They were very disorganized all of the time. The scheduler they had was awful...sometimes scheduling me before even seeing if I was available at that time. Then, they stopped paying me. I waited 3 weeks for my pay and they assured me it was coming. After 2 weeks I called corporate and they had no record of my paperwork. When I called the manager at the office and informed him that it had been 3 weeks since I had been paid, which was not the first time he was made aware. I also told him that until I was paid...I wanted to be taken off the schedule. He tried to tell me that it was abandonment to my client and that he was going to turn me into the state. They never did because I threatened to sue. The only good part was the clients...which became like family to me. Do not work here...you will be very unhappy.
Worst customer service staff I have ever encountered. They don't even know how to answer the phone. I overheard them and the "Respiratory Therapist" Shelly making fun of patients and professionals at K.U. These individuals should be terminated immediately!!!
I have used Bethlehem 3-4 times in the past few years. They are always cordial and professional. Always able to help with everything.
Plaza Medical is the worst of the worst. Absolutely NO idea of customer service, can't get even the simplest of requests done correctly, can't keep their help longer than a few weeks. Not dependable!
One of the poorest managed facilities I've ever experienced. The drivers however seem great. Unfortunately, I will not use PMR (aka LIncare) for anything in the future. I would avoid the headache and heartache. Serious restructuring is needed here!
