If you plan on watching any of this summer's new Blockbuster hits, stay away from the Legends 14 on the weekends. The high traffic of teens and other movie goers makes it a less than plesent movie going experience. The crowd control is poor; kids talked on cell phones the entire show, and came in and out of the theatre many times. They were never told to stay in the theatre, or to turn their phones off. In fact, I never once saw an employee that was patrolling the auditiorium. The lines at the concessions were feasable. The wait was what was to be expected on a Saturday night. But the service was rude. I understand that she probably had to deal with tons of other customers, but she should've put that behind her. The counters and floors were discusting, I was literally sticking to them. The presentation of the movie was fine, the sound was amazing...that is when it wasn't being interupted by the teens. After my movie, I visited the restrooms. They were trashed.... Tissue all over the floor, stalls out of toliet paper... water all over counters... list goes on. As I was walking out I told a manager, that the restrooms were trashed. She then called for an employee to go clean them... but it was "too little, to late." Great theatre.... maybe they need to work on their staffing.
@davidb09 That is probably the worst review I've ever read... I'm not sure why you even wasted your time to write this. I would think if you were taking time to write a review about The Legends you would want to sound a little more intelligent and make it seem like your opinion carries a little weight. You didn't feel safe huh? Why? You're afraid of teenagers? Did someone try to mug you? No. I'd bet that your'e not from Kansas City. Are you? Maybe you should just stick with going to Oak Park Mall. BUT WAIT...there are kids there too! What are you going to do?? I have an idea. Stay at home and save everyone from your asinine opinions.
Where are young people suppose to go? Are you afraid of young people. My goodness, I raised 3 teenagers to not be obnoxious...but well, when they go FREE ...as a parent we hope they behave. Are you one of those parents that thinks your teenager is an angel? Wow, too bad you don't have a camera to follow them around. Your feelings would get hurt. We used to clown when our parents were around, but back then...SOMEBODY your parents knew would see you, cause folks cared back then. Today so many people refuse to see the real world.. Stay home next time, cause wow...KIDS are everywhere. They even go to church.
I enjoy going to the movies at the Legends. I go during the week and love being able to sit where I please. The surround sound is wonderful, the sitting is comfortable, the restrooms were clean (very seldom do I go to any public facility). They have enough shows showing to fit my schedule, the price is competitive with other theaters, it's in the middle of a growing legend something for everyone, Loving the Legends
Very expensive even for a movie complex. A mix of viaitors, but all with a typical bag of horrid midwest attitudes. Not the worse place until you try parking.
I leave in salina ks when we come to Kansas City to go to the chief game or to the Harris We stop at legends to go watch a movie the theater is the best
Always enjoyed this drive-in from a kid to an adult. Good service (for a drive-in) and the community is very pleasent and friendly.
It is a nice theater and is usually not overcrowded. It is a little far from parking so go when it is nice outside.
Legends 14 is a great place to watch a movie. The biggest screen in the KC area is wonderful. Give it a try.
If you miss the outdoor movie experience, give this place a try.
