TERRIBLE SERVICE , UNPROFESSIONAL & HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I called the day before to set an appointment up for 6 straight back feed in braids . I get there and the lady doesn’t tell me my hair is supposed to be washed & blow dried. Luckily Khe Salon was down the street so I went down there to get my hair washed and blow dried , I come back and they gave me a different lady that DIDNT even know how to braid thick hair , she was grunting & being super dramatic when she braided my hair. Then charged me an additional $10 because she said my braids where long ( which they weren’t) . She kept yanking my head & my hair looked nothing like the picture I showed her , I showed her stitch braids an I got traditional braids with my natural hair poking out the braids . It was horrible . A waisted $70 . Never again.

As many of other customers have stated, I would not recommend this place. Very unprofessional, rude and loud. Issue#1, told me to come at 8 am did not show until 9am, and then sat in their car and talk on their phone…no sense of business ethics. Issue #2, I request single braids not box braid, however, one of the braiders proceeded to argue with me to tell me how she was going to braid my hair when I’m paying her. Issue #3, they braid entirely too tight. I have NEVER had my hair braided that tight. One universal behavior I’ve notice about many of these African braiding shops, they are VERY rude, unprofessional, and no sense of time. They have forgotten who is getting paid for a service.
If I could give this shop zero stars, I would! This was my first and ABSOLUTE last time visiting this shop. This was the worst and most expensive hair braiding service I have ever received! I showed the braiders a picture of the pixie braids bob style that I wanted and was assured that they would be able to do the style. After changing the price from $180 to $160 after I voiced that was too expensive for the simple style I wanted and after 8 long hours they finally finished my head.... they did not dip my braids which of course left them extremely stiff, itchy, and curled uncontrollably at the ends. My braids were not cut even whatsoever and they are all different sizes. I'm still upset at myself for even paying them at all. I will never ever again patronize this shop. Now I see why there weren't busy on a Friday afternoon. So on top of going through all that and paying what I did, I now have to find someone to attempt to fix their mess, after all I don't have $160 to just flush down the toilet! Beware, go anywhere but here! The owner texted me and asked me to leave reviews, I texted her back to let her know how upset I was with my service and she didn't even respond back! She got what she wanted which was my money so I guess she could care less about anything else.
I have done my hair a couple of times at this place (Senegalese twist, single braids, three braids, cornrows , and weave). I liked the outcome each time. The braiders are friendly and really quick because sitting down all day to get my hair done is not appealing at all. I like to go in and come out a couple of hours later which has been my experience in this shop. The prices are not too bad either compared to other shops. I'll definitely recommend isha sister hair braiding.
My first time here. The beautiful ladies in this shop did a great job on my granddaughter's hair. It took 3 hours for them to put twist in my granddaughters hair. Fair priced.
I PAID 240.00 and they messed up so bad on 2 of my daughters crochet braids after I complain they attempted to do their hair right. Thats the only reason why i give them 2 stars but anyway I will not be spending my money there anymore!
HORRIBLE they braid entirely too tight they pulled my edges out rude & all above! I would not recommend to others smh. My hair only been in for a week and 2 braids have fell out leaving a complete bald spot this is insane & should've never happened. Rude service I will never show my face in that area again! My rating for this is a 0.5 because the hair turned out nice but the point of the hair do was to grow my hair out not rip it out!!!
Omg the worst. First off, the ladies who did my hair were super heavy handed. I repeatedly asked them to be gentle and that seemed to upset them. The braids were so tight my scalp shone. My hair broke in clumps. Also they wouldn't braid all of my own hair in, at the end she started to clip the hairs hanging out, basically trying to give me a haphazard haircut. Also gave me attitude when I said absolutely no cutting my hair. The guy who owns the place has the worst manners. He wouldn't allow me to use my own hair for the braiding. He continuously walked through the shop and talked crap. He was verbally abusive towards one of the girls braiding hair and they got into a full blown fight. Right there in front of customers. This place was insane. When I finally took my hair down, I had to get a hair cut.
I called Friday evening to ask how much and what time.. I was told $170 for my Micros and to be there at 9am. I was there a little early thinking hopefully, they may start early. Come to find out they told several people to be there at 9am, there were only 2 braiders there and they had already started on clients.. so it was 8 of us waiting.. The owner came in and apologized, but stated its not her fault that the braiders decided to go to church.. that's not the issue, the issue is you told us to be here at a certain time like we had an appointment.. to tell us we are basically first come first serve.. ok so finally around 10am braiders started coming in they take us to the back to pick out our hair, I pick wet-n-wavy, at no time was I told it would be an additional $10. Ok, so after sitting for 4 1/2 hrs finally a braider comes, one was rude said I have natural hair and she can't do it.. she was loud and disrespectful! The second lady comes and she was really sweet, said no problem, braids my hair with no problem.. I was told that if your hair is short in some spots it would be an additional $20 .. are you serious???? Then they wait till my hair is done to tell me I owed and additional $10, because I got the wavy hair! No ma'am! Tell me this upfront... Tell me this when I first get there not 10hrs later. One of the braiders said, "please don't bother her for more money." Because she knew that wasn't right.. the only who spoke up. This place is just about money, not customer satisfaction.. I'm not made of money and my time is very precious..
