I hope they don't rely on a customers first impression to generate business. First, the sales representative answered with a very unprofessional "hello?" as if she were unaware she was working. When I stated I wished to set up an appointment for my best friend/bride to come shopping for dresses I was informed that they did not take appointments. No big deal...I get it. I then mentioned that I knew they carried a specific brand and style of dress the bride was looking for, since I was calling 2 weeks in advance did they think they might be able to pull some options that were similar to make the experience not as overwhelming. The girl then responded "well you know that day is going to be a Saturday and prom shoppers will be here and we are busy on those days ...she can look around in our bridal room if she wants" I was a bit taken back by her lack of willingness to provide assistance or even simple information. I feel as a customer and more important a 10+ year veteran of retail sales, her flippant attitude was less than desirable. If your business is Brides I feel you should perhaps put more of a focus on customizing the experience and making it a positive one. It's a small town and I am sure they do enough business to drown out my concerns, but they lost our wedding party and our business for sure.
