I have had the clear misfortune of having these guys buy the property I lived in for 6 years. I had no intention of moving but it happened so close to the end of my lease I no real options but to sign anew with them. Immediately my rent was 60-80 more dollars a month, and when the lease expired they raised the rent of the apartment from 800+ everything/mo to 1200+/mo ! They are currently trying to force me to pay for 10 year old + carpeting which was not changed when I moved in nor was it changed with the previous tenants , and judging by the shape of it, likely a few before them. He is also currently trying to strong arm another tenant for cleaning charges "which he already has everyone paying 250 dollars out of the deposit upon exit of the apt"I believe this man to be exceptionally predatory, he took an affordable home downtown filled with hard working lower income FAMILIES and nearly doubled rents forcing just about everybody out of the building. This is a business to be avoided at all costs.
Did complete work as promised in the contract. We encountered issues, but Darnell to his credit finished the work under pressure.
Lukeman properties took quite a while to fix maintenance items when we requested them but ultimately if you go to their office and talk to them then they make sure you get taken care of. Sometimes you just fall through the cracks because they have so many properties.
Good prompt service from staff. Everyone is courteous and professional. Sometimes things happen that are not within their control but they have always communicated effectively when in the process of making repairs and with a bit of patience all repairs were made well and in a reasonable time. Would recommend this company over many others in the area.
Wish I could give no stars to this property management company!!!! We rent a house on WMU campus and it's a piece of junk to say the least. When we were first shown the house we were told the floors would be repainted prior to our move in date well they weren't and we couldn't use the upstairs for over a week after the official move in date. After moving in we asked for keys to our bedroom doors and screens in our windows it took 2 months and several trips to the office to finally get our keys but to this day 8 months later there are no screens in our windows. 3 months after moving in our stove stopped working after several maintenance calls they came to switch out our stove so they could repair ours but the stove they replaced it with was broke to. The owner eventually bought us a very old used one but we had to go pick it up and hook it up ourselves. One of the pictures recently fell off the wall that was hanging up before we rented the house and there is a large hole in the wall behind the picture. All of the windows are not sealed very well which causes water to come in when it's snowing or raining then you get a large amount of mold growing and a high heat bill in the winter. We are constantly scrubbing black mold off the bathroom shower and all the downstairs closest have it growing like crazy. The washer shuts off at least twice during its cycle and you have to restart it. We had maintenance come unclog a drain he left us with a giant mess of black water on the floor and now a week later it is already clogged again. When you couldn't think it could get any worse our roommate had one months of rent withdrawn from his account 3 times which caused his account to over draft. They wouldn't reimburse him the overdraft fees he owed even though it was Lukeman's fault and he spent multiple phone calls arguing with them. In all honesty this house is a piece of mold growing junk and don't advise anyone to rent it.
Fast and reliable service!! Snow removal and lawn care provided was phenomenal!! Even in the worst snow blizzards they showed up on time. I never worry.
