Big Island Custom Tours is a tour guide/itinerary counseling business which has the focus on making YOUR dream vacation a reality, by attending to YOUR wishes. I'm very flexible, and have the local knowledge to help you see and do whatever you please, within YOUR budget and schedule, and following YOUR style of vacationing. Aloha.

I provide, for $5, a short, copyrighted text, about 5 pages long (no gloosy pix or maps) of the "Not to be Missed" activities, and the "Optional" activities, broken down into "Hilo Side" and "Kona Side" of all the best things to see and do here on the Orchid Isle of Hawai'i. For $60/hr, I will provide a detailed, customized itinerary for you, tailored to your budget, your length of stay here on the Orchid Isle, and your vacationing style (high level of activity vs. relaxing slow pace), plus answer any specific questions you may have. My focus is on the cultural, historical, and spiritual aspects of each location, but I can shift focus to whatever you please. A basic itinerary would most likely take a half-hour or so of my time, appx. $30 +/-, but it could extend to an hour or more if you had a complicated vacation planned, such as with a wedding or anniversary, with special events built into the itinerary. For $240 for a half-day, I'll take you anywhere within a 30 mile radius of Kailua Kona here on the Orchid Isle, and provide the cultural, historical, and spiritual story about any place you wish to see, based on my recommendations from your personal information about your interests. Snacks and water included, of course. I've also got 4 high-end handheld radios (with security codes for privacy) so that ir you have more than 4 people, you can rent a 4x4 to follow my 2016 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Full Cab pickup truck, and I can answer any questions you may have about the sights along the way to any destination (trees, orchards, churches, etc.). I won't provide a running commentary (like the major tour operators), unless you tell me that's what you'd like. For $450 for a full day, the same tour guide services described above, but to any location(s) you choose, based upon my recommendations (or not), island-wide, anywhere here on the Orchid Isle. I try to be as unobtrusive as possible, for example, if you wish to go down into the gorgeous Waipio Valley (4x4 accessible only), to see the waterfalls, drive through a river several times, and hang out at the black sands beach, I'll just sit in my pickup and wait until you're done at any location, unless you want me to attend with you to discuss the cultural, historical, and spiritual aspects unique to each location.
