Doggie Daycare

Have it all my dogs love it. Mention want to go to doggie day care and they are at the back of the car waiting to go. Nover had a problem.

We have been bringing our dog to Doggie Daycare for four years. I don't mean once in awhile, I mean 3 - 5 times a week and also boarding when we're out of time. This is the greatest place. First - let me talk about the owners/staff. These are the friendliest, most dog-loving people you ever want to meet. The staff actually goes into the dog areas, gets down on the floor, and plays with the dogs. My dog (Smokey) LOVES coming here. The owners (Regina and Edan) are professional and extremely responsive. I can't tell you how many times they have been incredibly flexible with me. There is virtually no staff turnover at this place. Let me reiterate this - virtually no turnover. I've been coming here for four years - nearly daily. Only one regular staff member left - and this was because her family had to move to accommodate a job. Incredible. I think the lack of turnover speaks volumes about the business and the type of people who own and run it. Next - I'll talk about the facility. There are 3 separate daycare areas for the dogs - a large area for larger dogs, a smaller area for smaller dogs, and the fenced area in the front for puppies/elders/special needs. All areas are indoors and air conditioned. Speaking for myself, in South Florida, I don't see outdoor space as tops in importance for me (especially in the Summer). My dog has gotten overheated just walking a couple of blocks. I have no problem keeping him inside for daycare and avoiding heat problems. He's a larger dog and typically in the larger area. He runs and plays with other dogs (and with the staff - who are right in there with balls chasing the dogs around). Now, this being said, the area is full of dogs, some of whom have accidents. The dogs come home kind of stinky at the end of the day (my husband calls it "doggie dust"...ewwww, I know, but funny). This is how it is. Any facility is going to have this type of issue unless they keep the dogs separated. I, for one, would rather have my dog playing with others. We wipe him down good (sometimes give him the hose) when he comes home and it is no big deal. One last thing - this business is very community-minded. They bring rescue dogs in for playing. I think this is wonderful. I really could go on and on. This place is great - they are available 7 days a week. You can have half daycare, full daycare or boarding. If your dog has a special issue, the staff can deal with it (and does so cheerfully). The prices are reasonable. There is a dog groomer on site. If you're in the area, bring your dog here!

I've been there about 3 times and will never go back.



The first thing you notice when you walk in is the intense smell of urine. Maybe this is because they are housing small dogs in the lobby! There were times that I went to pick up my dog (nobody is in the lobby) and I waited nearly 5 minutes. If I were into stealing small dogs, I could have cleaned out all of those dogs before anybody would have known.



The last time I dropped my dog off, he actually pulled away from the door, which is a bad sign. When I picked him up 3 hours later, he REEKED OF URINE! I actually had to give him a bath when we got home.



Not to mention that the staff never engages you in conversation or lets you know how the dog was. Just "here's your dog".



While their prices are good, you get what you pay for. But I'd rather pay more and know that my dog is getting proper care. I am actively seeking another location because I will never let these people care for my dog again.
