my wife was taken to St Joe's In Joliet by ambulance they said she had a heart attack they gave her an M R I and then just left her in a room never hooking her up to the blood preasure monitor never checked on her or even gave her food or water in over 9 hrs. They never even sent a doctor in to discuss the results of the M R I . The nursing staff is just horrible there no compassion or quality care at all. I would not take my dog to that so called hospital
My daughter had an appointment for glasses in July 2017 and its Jan 2018 until now we have not receive her glasses. I've been calling for the last 6 months they were giving the run around and promise to call. I never got a call from them. The employees are so incompetent, unprofessional he needs to hire new people. Dr. Casper is great eye doctor. He needs to choose wisely, professional and good characters people to work for him otherwise we will loose a lot of patients. I'm so disappointed with this situation. And I just called in today Jan 18 the person supposed to call me back does not work there anymore. Spoke to a new person still does not know what's going on with daughters glasses.
I just read the 5 negative reviews, and have a different opinion. Maybe their experience was slower because of the volume of people being serviced. This hospital services hundred's of people daily - thousands monthly, maybe they had to wait due to the worst/critical patients needs first. So be it, it's not a vacation resort where your needs are met immediately.Yes, I was brought in by ambulance for a heart attack on 1/15/18. Was treated with care and professionalism in all phases from Emergency room, to the 4th floor cardiac area. All during this time I was monitored by the friendly, and concerned Doctors and Nurses. Yes, I had to wait for a room to open up, and thought this should be expected when a hospital is very busy & crowded. No different than a good restaurant -- be patient and wait your turn for the room.After all of the testing, lab work, cat scans, heart imaging, I was operated on 1/16/18 and stents were put into my heart arteries, which saved my life. I totally respect all of the Doctors & Nurses, being so professional and courteous, With a special thanks to the RN's on the 4th floor East: Katley, Kelly & Allicia and their assistant nurses. Every phase of being in this hospital was exceptional, and can only express my gratitude to everyone. I've been a patient in other hospitals in my 75 years and would rate this one exceptional. Adding a little discomfort & humor, the toilet paper was single ply - - just had to use more.I left the hospital total informed, with instructions on living a better and healthy life by the Doctors, Surgeons & Staff.With sincere appreciation,Robert A. Worse hospital and ER ever! Been to the ER numerous times and I've never been seen in less than 4 hours. Then had what was supposed to be a same day surgery. The surgeon nicked a vein inside of me and I lost a lot of blood. So they had me stay overnight. By the next morning I was severely hemorrhaging, seriously, blood everywhere. Nurse paged the surgeon, no response. Then a total of 5 nurses were sending him 911 pages every 10 minutes. THREE HOURS LATER he finally showed up, wreaking of cigarette smoke. He took me back into surgery, which took over 3 hours, because he couldn't find the vein he nicked. I ended up needing a blood transfusion because I had lost so much. Stayed overnight again, all night receiving blood transfusions. So my "same day surgery" ended up costing me 8 days in the hospital and almost took my life. I would not suggest this place to my worst enemy. Best hospital to go to if you want a caring staff and doctors who will go out of their way to make sure you're getting the best treatment possible is Edward Hospital in Plainfield! Have been there too many times to count and I've never had even the slightest complaint.
This is not a serious option for an ER. Took my daughter there for an injury. Watched very sick people walk out and/or get ignored or treated rudely by RNs. They took all tests quickly then sent us back to waiting room for over 3 hours to get results, treatment. Waiting room was filthy and uncleaned. They just couldn't handle the ER at all. Find someplace else if you really have an emergency.
Laurie one of the individuals in the front is a rude and clueless individual that likes to make assumptions about patients not paying their bills with other doctors. She isaid rude and ignorant and try as much as she can to not give you the office managers name. I figured Kelly the office manager is very busy so I will write a letter to every single doctor to let them know what kind of service their front desk people are giving there and over the phone.
My nephew used this hospital and he has not had a complaint yet..... As a matter of fact he is laying in one of the beds now. He could have chose another place but he chose here
This hospital is close to home, but after seeing the outpatient areas run down, dirty carpets, stuffing falling out of ripped up furniture and inefficient admitting computer system.... I think I'm going to plan on going to Silver Cross. The inpatient side is all brand new, but yhe lab & xray waiting rooms look like a 3rd world country.
Funny, in contrast to what Amy said, they have always been a responsive and professional company for me. They answer their calls on the 2-3 ring and are polite and helpful.
