great service - and honest too -
I visited this station located in Cranston Rhode Island on Plainfield Pike on Monday 11/10/14. I put in gas and use my last dollar to make change for quarters so I can use the air machine. Only to find out the machine was broken and deflated my tire more than what it was. I brought this up to the gas station attendant who basically told me not my problem buddy contact the number on the machine. I explained to him I live 25 miles north of this location and that I had no more money on me. I asked if he could kindly reimburse me for my one dollar so that I can go to the next gas station (next door - mobile station) and put in air. He again simply says not my problem buddy. I work up the street from this gas station and stop here weekly to fill my tank spending anywhere between 35-40$ But due to the lack of human compassion from the gas station attendant I will no longer be visiting this location. I will now go to the mobile station next door or the Hess station 1/4 mile down the street. Requesting for a dollar return so that I can get air is not unreasonable to me. Even if its the "other" companies machine that is on you property. A single dollar would have kept you a loyal customer.
Rude employees at this particular Hess station. I've never had a problem until tonight. Paid at the pump with my credit card, pumped my gas, out runs the young female attendant demanding I pay for the lady's gas at the next pump. I asked why, she says she made a mistake and put the wrong pump number in when she charged the other woman's credit card for her gas. She said my gas must have been paid for by the other woman. I asked for some receipt or some proof that my Card, that I swiped, had not been charged. She got very angry and said that I just needed to pay and that she's want going to have her draw be short. I continued to explain that she already made one mistake with the other woman's card and I didn't want a mistake with my card, so could she just check the records. Her three teenage friends then came out of the store and stood with her at my car while she argued with me. So I just went inside paid $20 again. No manager was on duty tonight, so i will have to go in on Monday to get this all worked out. I feel as though if her friends weren't inside with her while she was working then she probably wouldn't have made this mistake in the first place. Very frustrating and Im probably out $20.
