We purchased a new 2017 fifth wheel in August 2017. Our camper has been in the service department at A&L RV for seven of the twelve months!! Constantly. We have had no ability to camp for seven months. WORST service department. Do not return calls or emails. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. All of our work is covered until the factory warranty and they still will not/cannot fix our NEW RV. $40,000 fifth wheel sitting in the service department for SEVEN Mos. BUYER BEWARE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!
I bought my new RV in 10/15. At the time of sale there were a number of items that needed fixing (including a door stop, ceiling molding, bubble in the door as a result of improperly addressed heat vent position, rubber moldings on the sides were short and crinkled, and 2 rips in the floor). I was assured at the time of sale that all concerns would be addressed as soon as the parts arrived. After 5 months not a single item has been addressed to my satisfaction and indeed additional damage has occurred due to failed attempts to fix my RV at A&L RV Sales in Johnson City, TN. Don't call the parts department and leave a message as they do not return calls. I am at present working with Forest River to resolve my problems which I hope will work out. All A&L RV sales had to do was do the job right, but instead they don't care about you after the sale. They proved it to me so hopefully I can save other people from the same because service or any help after the sale is not there.
Where do I start? I was told they were having a big sale but the salesman would never tell me the "sale" price. He said because they were offering me more than my trade-in was worth I didn't get the sale price? If the camper wasn't exactly what I was looking for I would have walked out because I could see that this was a dirty bunch of people. After we brought the camper home (which was brand new by the way), we realized the outside speakers didn't work. They made us an appointment to bring it back in, which costed us almost a full tank of gas one-way as we live almost two hours away. They ended up keeping it for a week and then called & told us they couldn't figure out why the speakers didn't work. Said they rewired the camper & the speakers still wouldn't work so they would have to order a whole new radio for it. The second trip over there (another tank of gas and another week of not having our camper) they claimed they replaced the radio and it still wouldn't work! Said they would have to order all new wiring and rewire the whole camper! Keep in mind we were told that was already done! So we brought our camper home. My husband spent $27 on speaker wire and 2 1/2 hours later our speakers were working. We have spoke to the service manager Alex several times and also the general manager, who referred us back to Alex, who really doesn't care if we get to use our camper or not. That being said, the service department is useless. They have no intention of doing anything. Once they get your money they are done with you. I also want to add that as many times as we have been back over there, we have never seen our salesman again. His hat is always hanging in his cubby but he is never available. Imagine that! I would hide too if I was him. Anyone who is looking to buy a camper, take my advice and don't go near this place. You will regret it.
Great Selection - Lifetime Warranty - Friendly Staff - Lots of campers on the lot to look at and a excellent service department
Never do business with them again! Worst service department ever! Kept delaying to fix our issues until the warranty ran out!
Extremely rude in service department! Would not recommend purchasing anything there! Once A&L RV has your money you are own your own!
