If the store owner is in the store when I go in, (and I've tried hard to avoid him) I ALWAYS leave with a feeling like I wasn't welcome or appreciated. He never smiles, always has a poker face expression, and is not what I'd call a good person to deal with. They all seem pale there, like they're afraid to go into the Sunshine. They seem to be caught up in folklore in regard to their health views. I used to feel sorry for them and wanted to help them by buying there to help support the little guy against big stores like Earth Fare, Fresh Market, Kroger, Ingles, and Natural Foods Market but I no longer feel this way due to the owner's rudeness. I can buy anything they carry at vitacost.com or Krogers for less and anything else I can find online, and feel welcome in doing so.I'm not going to support a store that doesn't treat all customers the same and doesn't treat me the way I want to be treated. It was once a nice place to shop with smiling employees and high quality organic foods but things have changed. Most all of what they sell now are supplements and they have raised prices. I feel I'm justified in writing this negative review because of the way Health Barns owner seemed to singled me out, judged me, and basically condemned me, and, all for no good reason. He doesn't know any more about me than I know about him. I honestly think he's an idiot.
