Great location and adore the staff. They are so sweet and quick to help with anything you need. The pool is my favorite!

I absolutely loved living with Homestead Properties! The leasing agent was very knowledgeable about all properties and was happy to show all properties to myself and my roommate. The location was great (Pecan Court), right next to ETSU, but still had that homey feel unlike many apartments in that area. During my time living here, I only had one maintenance issue that was fixed in a very timely manner; I actually got home the same day it was reported with a note saying that it was fixed. The only downside was the parking, but the lot has since been re-paved and it looks great! The closet space was amazing and something that I really looked for in an apartment. I was also happy that I had plenty of outside space to run my dog and make it a great space for him, too. I suggest Homestead to anyone looking to rent because the experience created by the staff, on top of the apartment itself, was very enjoyable!
I have lived in two different apartments with Homestead Properties and have had a great experience both times. Their units have been updated and are maintained really well. The staff is super friendly. I would highly recommend.
They have found deals for me on the East Coast and have managed my investments since around 2007. No complaints, making money
I'm renting an older home that has had some issues. But they're great about fixing or replacing any problems. We love it!
Rented 2 different properties from the company for a little over four years and have no complaints. They were responsive to maintenance requests. I see negative reviews, but I always paid rent on time, no drama, and never had an issue.

I attempted to lease a property managed by TC Lewis. The ad for the property came from their website. The ad is still up at the time of this review.Wednesday morning, I sent an email and called, but got voicemail. The email went unanswered. Over the next couple days, I called repeatedly, once left a VM, and sent two additional emails, this time using forms on their website rather than emailing directly. Finally on Monday, I drove to their office and spoke to them. The property had rented that morning. When I let them know that I had been trying to reach them for nearly a week, they changed their mind and said it was rented last week but the lease wasn't signed until that morning (I have cash and could have signed at any time). So, it seems that either TC Lewis had it rented before I contacted them and couldn't be bothered to tell me to stop wasting my time, or didn't respond to my repeated correspondence for some reason, causing me to miss out on the property.
Do NOT rent from these people!! They refuse to fix anything!!! I have had 4 ceiling leaks, a window that needs to be replaced and they ignore it, I finally had to cover with plastic!! Also a toilet that has to have the water turned on to use and off to keep it from running non stop!! and a oven eye that has been shorted out for 6 months that they tried to get ME to replace and when I made the maintenance man do it instead he got electrocuted!! That could have been me!!! Also they are completely trying to ignore I have a pet deposit they owe me still!!!!!!
I have been with Homestead Properties about 3 years now. I highly recommend them. The first year, I lived at Willow Creek with a roommate. She organized everything, so I didn’t know much of what was going on when it came to dealing with the management and such. I was told that our fridge leaked, and it was reported. The maintenance guys came over many times and finally got the thing fixed. Still no idea what happened, but they were friendly and came to fix the fridge without delay when we called. I ended up needing a change in apartment size and let the office know I would not remain in the same apartment. I will say that was frustrating to the max. It is true, they changed managers several times. BUT-that was 2 years ago, and I believe we have had the same manager since, so I won’t elaborate on my frustrations. I will also say that they must have hired a really good manager, because I have seen changes take place in the last 2 years that can only mean someone really knows what they are doing. With that being said, I have had many interactions with Homestead since moving into my new apartment. I believe all of them have been good. I also want to add that they choose their maintenance staff carefully. All of them have been super friendly but not in a creepy way. I have been impressed with them every time. The reasons for my calls were normal. I complained that my dishwasher had broken. I think I left a voicemail, but they sent someone to fix it that same day. It ended up being replaced in a very short time period. The fridge had a similar story. Same goes with complaints about neighbors. I never called, but I saw a bad event that was quickly and quietly taken care of by management. I do not know if that neighbor still lives there. Every time I fuss about something, it is taken seriously and taken care of quickly. I also do not abuse this, which might help. I’ve called maybe twice about maintenance-related things in the 2 years I have lived in this particular apartment. It was about the dishwasher and something else I can’t remember. When you leave for vacation, they ask their clients to call the office so that they can monitor the apartment and make sure everything is safe, such as watching that pipes don’t bust during with winter while you are gone, etc. Since I have been here, the pipes have not broken even once. That could be partly because of the friendly reminders we get taped to our doors asking us to keep the water dripping. We frequently get newsletters taped to our doors (quarterly?). Information includes things like when the pool opens or reminders to keep our water trickling in winter. Overall, if you are looking for an apartment, I would recommend Homestead Properties. They take care of problems and are really friendly. The staff are patient and knowledgeable. They leave you alone, which is also nice. When they send people to work on your apartment, they only send pleasant people. If you want a place where you feel at home and at peace, and safe, this is where you want to go.And-just as a side note, I am receiving no compensation for this review. I just wish more people would write reviews-good or bad. I wanted to know what I was getting into when searching for an apartment, and could find almost no information from tenants. Please, if you’re impressed with a place, or really annoyed and leaving a place, please leave a review to help out others looking for an apartment!
