Overall

Guys - don't be cheap and buy expensive jewelry from a no-name place at a mall. If you do buy from these guys, don't get it appraised or you'll realize you were sold junk. If you have an issue with this place call Jo-Ann Sperano at the Jewelers Vigilance Committee. Her number is 212-997-9148.

Each time I conduct business with Aaron at Giorgeo’s Fine Jewelry, I leave with a smile. They are professional, kind and can multi-task better than any team I have ever done business with. Aaron will clean your jewelry, free of charge, regardless if you purchased from him or another vendor. He is observant to detail and ensures each piece of jewelry on your body remains outstanding and beautiful. I highly recommend Giorgeo’s Jewelry to anyone looking for quality gems, and for perfectly hand-made items. It is a fact they are the best location in the Newport Center to shop for special one of a kind items and the best part is, you will keep coming back.

As a business owner myself, I am a bit stringent toward customer service from the merchants I patronize. I am glad to be able to say that when I took my wife's damage sapphire bracelet in to Giorgeo’s for repair, that the staff and owners of this family operated store were pleasant, attentive and and probably best of all, reasonably priced. The bracelet was pretty badly damaged but they fixed it up and had it ready to pick-up within 24 hours. I also had them replace a watch battery for me and I took advantage of the silver sale to get my wife some very nice earrings. Overall I give Giorgeo’s Fine Jewelry a 5 star rating for price and service and I will shop there again.

My watch needed a new battery so I decided to give Giorgeo’s a try. I am so glad I did. First of all, the store is very clean and a pleasure to be in and more importantly the people working there were very knowledgeable and friendly. I called on the phone first to make sure they did batteries and the girl I spoke with was very polite and helpful. In the store, Mike fixed my watch and then I asked him about my engagement ring. He spent about a good twenty minutes talking to me about the ring as he inspected and cleaned it for me. Needless to say, I will be a loyal customer to this store and I look forward to purchasing my fiance's ring here. The experience left me very happy and redeemed my faith in customer service.

My Husband and I have been married for three years. While shopping for my engagement ring we went to several jewelers. We always ended up leaving feeling unsatisfied. Jeff and I went to Newport Center Mall one day and walked passed Giorgeo’s Jewelers. The minute we walked through the door we felt welcomed and that we mattered. Aaron asked what he could help us with. He took the time to sit us down and explain what to look for in a diamond such as color, cut, and clarity. No other jeweler had took the time to teach us this valuable information. We were so happy with their customer service and sincere interest in what we wanted and how to get it for us. Needless to say we have been loyal customers ever since.

Horrible, rude, unprofessional sales people. Yesterday, I went to Giorgeo's in the newport mall to change batteries for 5 watches. There were a lady and a man and they were on the phone more than 5 minutes. They are not a professional. I’m 100% sure. They charge $100+tax and I don't care. I don't expect anything this kind of small shop in a dirty mall. Those two people were nice to me and I didn't have any trouble with them.

Next day, I realized something wrong with one of the watches 'cause the lady hammered it a lot of times to close the back cover. Even the guy mentioned that it is very hard to close.

So, I went back to the mall today (06/20/2013) to find out what is wrong and it could be fixed. As soon as I arrived the shop. A different guy came out. I explained what is going on, but he cut my words and yelled at me. “It is not a hand to move! Find the manual and Read the manual!” I told him to calm down because his face became red, but he was yelling at me more and more without any reason. “Go and find the manual” When I asked for repair(I didn’t even mention any money), he kept saying same words and he said “I’ll tell you only one more time and I’ll not tell you anything~~~~” WTF. What I want was the watch could be fixed or not. I didn’t mention refund or any free service at all. But this stupid guy was yelling at me repeating “find manual” stuff.

They have to shut down the business forever. Do not go to this monkey business.

I don't know why do i have to give them even one star.

This is a great store! We went to a competitor jewelry in the mall this past weekend to look at a ring for our upcoming engagement . We will not name names because their service was absolutely dreadful!! Anyway…We had a specific budget and a very particular taste. After having read the reviews below, we had a good feeling about Giorgeo’s Fine Jewelry. Aaron was up to the task and brought out everything he thought we'd be interested in, and of course he found just the right thing for us. We got engaged in the store!!!!!! We could not be happier with the entire experience. Thank you Aaron!! We would highly recommend Giorgeo’s Fine Jewelry to anyone shopping in the New Jersey or New York area!

Dishonest business

Biggest scam, plus rude service-unprofessional and belittling salespeople. Went to Giorgeo's in the newport centre mall in JC to have 2 watches repaired, and was charged $90! Their reasoning was that the parts for these watches were more expensive so I paid it. Less than a week later one of the watches stopped again, I went back, they refused to give me a refund and wanted to charge me another $130 dollars to repair it without being able to tell me what exactly was wrong. I decided to keep the watch and brought it to a watch repairman. Come to find out the battery that Giorgeo's put in was not only the wrong size, but the battery replacement should have only cost $15. Complete underhanded dirtbags.

If you are looking, I would highly recommend Giorgeo’s Fine Jewelry. Their service is a class act! No pressure, very knowledgeable and friendly. One of the nice things is that the work is done in the store; there is no 2 week wait for your jewelry to get back to you. We left the store on a Tuesday with sized rings in our possession! They even cleaned and inspected my other jewelry that was not even purchased in the store! I would recommend Giorgeo’s Fine Jewelry to anyone considering a lifetime purchase. Thanks Giorgeo’s for making our shopping experience a very memorable one!

I purchased an engagement ring from Giorgeo’s Fine Jewelry. Throughout my whole buying experience, the customer service was very helpful. Michael was very kind and helpful, providing quick responses and helped me select the perfect setting for the diamond I chose. He provided many pictures to show me what the ring would look like, and answered all questions/concerns I had about the ring. Even after I decided to purchase the ring, Michael continued to be a valuable resource, helping me through the process of paying for the ring, and answering questions I had about ring insurance. The engagement ring itself was of great quality - they were right when they said it would look far better than the pictures show. I am very happy with the product, and would recommend Giorgeo’s Fine Jewelry for the quality of their items and their great service.

I went to this jeweler tonight...

I went to this jeweler tonight and was disappointed with my entire experience:



Rude, unprofessional, and belittling salespeople.







Waited for 15 minutes with noone approaching me.



After two women tried to sell some jewlery and left without making a deal I overheard the two "sales people" commenting how they almost "got them" by trying to undercut them.



I asked for a cushion cut diamond to view, he shows up with a round cut, I question him and he says "of course that's a round cut"....well that isn't what I asked for.



He tried to pressure me by saying how diamond prices are going to rise in a week....convenient timing?...idk.



After realizing this store was unprofessional I left and the guy there commented on how "I looked like I was stuck between a rock and a hard place"...uh, no guy, I would rather spend my $40K elsewhere.



What do you expect from a jeweler in a MALL.

Rude manager, ruin the message encrypted on my ring at Giorgeo's Fine Jewelry Newport Mall



I took my engagement ring for a resize here. The resize was good but the manager recommended me to polish by wedding band so it would look better. I went to pick it up and it did look great. However, I had a message encrypted and that was gone. The manager told me to wait a few minutes to clean it better. After a few minutes he came back with no explanation. The message was still gone. I asked to please fix it since the encryption means a lot to me (especially since I wanted my ring polish for my 5 year wedding anniversary). He told me that he would encrypt it but I would have to pay 40 dollars and wait 3-4 weeks. I was really disappointed. I trusted I would get my ring perfectly. This is their business. They should know the importance of these things to people. He rudely said it is my fault so I should not complain. After a few minutes he told me he would charge $20 to fix this. He said he didn't want to lose 20$ for something it was my fault.... still no apology and blaming the situation on me. He was rude, they have zero attention to details, zero customer service. Really bad experience. Wedding rigns meant a lot too people, he should have known better.
