I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service and will not return. I had an incident occur with an item I left, and I am even more upset about the service received than the item left for dry cleaning!!! The customer service is POOR, which was evidenced by upper management! The individual, who I met with is the owner's daughter; she said that she handles the money since her father is out of town. I was not provided a listening ear, empathy or care. I was provided defensiveness and talked at and not with. I stated that I would not return! She did not seem to care. I stated that I would not pay for the item. She said that no one leaves with an item unpaid. She called her father. She came back to me and said that she would take $3 off the price since they deserve to be paid for their work. At NO TIME was I asked, "What could we do to keep your business?" or "I am really sorry that this happened; we worked really hard, and I can see that you are upset. What can I do to resolve this matter?" Instead I was told that it did not matter that I did not return and the organization did not care that my item is ruined. I am astonished by this poor customer service.The item had been worn twice and never washed prior to bringing it to the dry cleaner. This was a high-end item from a high-end department store (Von Maur). When I attempted to pick up the item, I was told that the stain had not been removed. I am thinking - no problem, I understand that all stains cannot be removed. I looked at the item - it appeared to have been washed several times, the item was discolored and dingy. I expressed my dissatisfaction. The individuals, who I was speaking with, said several times that they would attempt to re-wash the item. I kept asking for someone to call me about the item, as the decision makers were not present, and stated that I did not want the item washed again since it was so dingy looking. I was very clear that I did not want the item washed again. The next day I received a voicemail message stating that the item could not be washed again (Great! Especially since I had emphatically asked for it not to be rewashed) as it had already been washed 4 times. When I returned the message, I explained that I had the exact item at home and my older item looks newer than the new item that was dry cleaned. I was asked to bring in the item, which I did. I met with the owner's daughter. This was a horrible experience...again, the work was defended, yet as the customer, I was not heard. By the verbal and nonverbal communication, it was clear that my business does not matter nor does my item. The only positive that I can say about the dry cleaners is that it is closed on Sundays observing the Lord's Day!
