It really sucks having to depend on this company to provide services because they are the only one! My internet has went out and I've called them all day only to be told they will call back and of course they never do! I call back and they can only tell me they don't understand why my service isn't working and they will send a repair man out To check it. Two hours go by no repair man? I call again this time I'm told they don't know what I'm talking about and it's now after hours and Internet isn't veiwed as emergency so I have to wait and call again tomorrow which will be my 5th call. All the money I've payed Samdhill over the years and this is the respect I get? I pray a day comes when we can get other providers in this area and I can take my money else where!

Must be nice to have a monopoly of the area

So I purchased the services of Sandhill telephone Cooperative. They put up a good front about getting some of your money back after so long. After they installed the Internet a telephone lines I immediately ran into connection issues, after the third visit of not finding an issue if did eventual solve itself, somewhat. Then recently I received my first bill. I was expecting an 80$ bill. What I got was closer to 400. Keep in mind this is after I put up a 325$ down payment. After calling them up it was explained that it was the instalation fees and the bill. I was not told in advance of this exorbitant amount and they would not offer to split it up into manageable payment plans. They did push back the monthly fee of 80$ a couple days, and the rest has to be paid in full on the 1st of next month. How generous. Today I ran into another issue, I tried paying that monthly fee online. You have to use a email address, that I can't remember, and pw. There is no option for forgotten email address, password, or reset. And when I called to rectify this simple problem I came to realize that they are only available during the easily accessible hours of 830-5 Monday through Friday. It's not like most people, including myself, have to work during those hours as well. For some it might be just as simple to call from work, but I unfortunately work at a prison and it is frowned upon to bring your phone into work. So no only have they charged me the monthly price of a new car, they have made it difficult to even pay the ludicrous fees. But considering that they are the only ones in the are I guess I can forgive them for operating a monopoly on a small town. I can not wait to move to an area that has not only competitive pricing, accessible services, and no surprise hidden fees. But an updated system for servicing people, better payment options for your ridiculous prices (seriously, for that much I'd install the jack myself with a how to guide. It's easy), and at least make it so I can log on to pay the bills! I'm looking forward to no longer having you as a provider, you can keep your coop.
