Overall
awesome community church!

father dan, the pastor, is a former Methodist and a Catholic priest now for over 25 years. His congregation is so welcoming that it is refreshing to a "cradle Catholic" like me to be greeted so warmly and welcomed into Mass.

Father Dan, while distributing communion, welcomes non- Catholics as they approach with their arms crossed against their chests (although they do not receive the Eucharist) and gives each a personal blessing).

Each time a child walks up with their parents to Communion, Father Dan humbly kneels down for each of the little ones and gives them a blessing; they return the favor with a "high five". He relates a personal story of a friend, parishioner, or some pertinent info from his encounters with nature or people, animals during his homily while emphasizing a point in the Gospel or Epistle.

He greets each as his flock leaves church to spread the Word to the world. during Easter, a fountain on the altar gently provides "white, calming noise" to the liturgy. the altar people ring the bells from ropes hanging down inside the sanctuary.
