I have a 2009 115 Evinrude E Tec motor that I purchased at Jasper Outboard sales and service. Never had any problems with motor till this year, In March I took it to Jasper Outboard sales and service as the motor had died on me out fishing one day and would not restart. Took it to this dealer in March 2017 for repair and was told it sounded like it was not getting fuel so they cleaned the injectors there at the shop instead of sending them out to be cleaned and reset by an outside service that does this work. Paid 568.28 for repair. Then in Sept. 2017 had the same problem, the motor would run for a short distance and then die and not restart. Go back to this dealer and DeWayne the owner tells me again sounds like its not getting fuel. They replaced the fuel pump, charged me 697.42 which was originally going to be 802.00 before I complained about the price. In November this year same problem with motor, starts fine, runs short distance and dies and will not restart. Take it back to same dealership and guess what I am told " sounds like you got a fuel problem ". So I get Evinrude involved and they told me to tell him to make it a case and for him to call Evinrude. This time he tells me looks like the injectors are plugged and he doesn't even remember he said he cleaned them 6 months earlier! Said this time he was sending them out to be cleaned. Went 12/13/2017 to pick up boat after repairs and his ticket showed I owed him 519.65 but he only charged me 200.00. I feel like if the injectors would have been sent out to be cleaned the first time I would maybe no have been having the same issues with the motor. The owner is very arrogant and does not want to hear what other mechanics have told you about the motor. Will never use him again or recommend Jasper Outboard sales and service to anyone!
