This business is NOT closed yet but ...............I sent a letter to the owner as I feel anyone deserves a chance to correct a problem.Since then:Twice we have encountered a man on the phone who must be partially deaf and totally rude.Twice we have ridden in a cab with cockroaches and a driver in need of a bath.Once we rode with a man who was apparently drunk.Once we rode with a couple who offered us a discount if we would call them back regular.Once we rode with a very nice Christian Jamaican lady.Once we rode with a really weird old woman who was dressed out of this world and drove like a maniac but she made us laugh.Once we rode with a woman who thinks she has stalkers on Facebook.Twice we made a reservation for the wee morning hours and evidently woke the woman up when we called about the car being late.Once we rode with a mixed couple who had us laughing the entire ride.There were other rides with nothing out of the norm and the nice lady who always says thank you was on that phone quite often. She has more patience than I do. Its the lesser of two evils compared to Yellow and their drivers who smell of pot and who take the long way around.We are getting a car soon and will miss playing Russian Roulette with our transportation.We will keep using Tarheel most of the time but late at night I guess we have to deal with Yellow.We tried Uber but they are an even bigger rip off. They quote one price but it always seems to be a surge time when we ride and it was twice the price of a cab.Come on tax check so we will be in control of our transportation.
Great service, on time, very professional. Clean taxis, Had to go to Raleigh, NC on short notice. there was no problems and got to the airport on time.
Seems like Kelly can't decide if her driver was a man or a woman. Not the only confusion here.We have used Tarheel for quite a while and Melody is one of the nicest people there. She actually goes by Mel and has always been very helpful. She seems to be really liked by most of the drivers and seems very helpful to them in finding addresses or information. She is the only one I have ever heard look up an address on satellite to help a driver out.She is very personable and thanks us each time we call.We have called her with complaints about drivers and she is always understanding and apologetic. 90 percent of their drivers are very nice but you have problem people in any job. From the one who smells like feet to the hippy who always appears two weeks away from a bath to the loud mouth woman who rides with her dad.There are great ones like the Jamaican guy who used to be a teacher to the lovely older woman who loves her grandkids.I don't personally like the girl at night who always seems to be asleep or the gruff sounding man who compared one drivers wife to a dog but I suppose not all dispatchers will appeal to all customers.I appreciate 90 percent of Tarheel employees for making sure I get where I need to go in a clean and safe manner and just try to avoid the other 10 percent when possible.Cudos to anyone who can handle either side of that job.
The woman answering the phone was rude. She refused to tell me her name. However, after my car arrived I asked her who answers the phone to find out her name was Melody and she was the dispatcher. Sadly, while listening to his radio I quickly realized that she also talks to the cabbies like crap. My driver was friendly and professional.I wonder if the owners are aware of the personality of the woman that runs the show? Nobody wants to listen to what seems to be contention over the airway or over the phone. I would try to seek out the owners of Tarheel, but noticed the cabs are independently owned and operated.
The driver himself was a pleasure to right with,only issue is his cab was clean...after my ride coming from the hospital I noticed sharp stinging biting pains I thought it was just I got bit by a mosquito since the window was open, well when I got home and into my house I liked my shirt and asked my boyfriend to look and I had welts. Imy disgusted with how I was getting bitten by bugs in this cab. I don't know if yellow cab holds vehicle inspections for cleanliness but this was nasty. I refuse to call this company again...it was nasty.
Very rude driver. They sent my receipt to my email address. After opening the email I decided to put in a review about some of the comments the driver said to me. Either the driver or someone else at Yellow Cab responded to my review and said more rude things as well. Please work on your customer service skills. Why ask the customers about our opinions if your just going to be rude when we tell you the truth?
I called Yellow Cab Co for a ride home at the end of the night. They came through and picked me up from the bar, then I told the lady where to drop me off in Camp Lejeune. She drove around lost for an entire hour, saying she knows where she's going...Honestly you shouldn't be a taxi driver if you don't know the area. After driving around for an hour completely lost, saying she knew where the place was, the cab driver finally got to my destination, and then told me she didn't except card. That should've been explained to me at the beginning of the ride. No credit cards, so then we had to ride to the gas station so I could use the ATM. After I payed the cab driver in cash, she used the excuse that she is a new cab driver, so she doesn't have any change for me. That does not sound believable at all, what kind of taxi driver doesn't have change for their customer? No music during ride, just annoying operators over the speakers. Pretty unpleasant experience, and I felt ripped off as well.
I am from NJ attending my son's graduation from MCT Camp Geiger. I have the pleasure of meeting one of the driver name Cliff. He is awesome, a good driver, honestand and know the camp pretty well. I will always call him on my next trip to NC. Hey guys anybody looking for the best driver just ask for Cliff.
as a delivery driver, i've nearly been run off the road multiple times by this cab company's drivers. I don't see how you are still in business if your employees are allowed to driver like maniacs, especially with other people in the car. get it together or get off the roads!
A driver from this company (Plate # TB-3458) almost ran my boyfriend and I off the road! He almost rear ended us and flashed his high beams. The driver swerved and cut dangerously close in front of us with no turn signal. When confronted, he had very slurred speech and told us we needed to drive faster! I would trust this cab company with my life, please beware.
