Horrible horrible restaurant service. Ordered for delivery and asked that they call for the front door as we were in the back relaxing. The order was an hour late. I called three times to get an ETA with false times given for each call. When order was finally delivered, the person just hung it on my door. Didn't bother notifying us. I had to call to the restaurant, who had to call the driver, to find out that they just left it on the door. God knows how long its been sitting there getting cold. When I finally checked the order it was completely cold and missing my drink. Called for a refund and they said to hang it back on the door and they had to pick it up for the refund to be issued. Understandable.... so I hung it on the door and left the door open to make sure they pick it up. It was two hours before they picked it up. So from me ordering to them picking it up took about 4 hour to get that food. God bless the person who has to eat that Mexican steak and rice with sourcream. I have everything recorded thanks to a nifty app. so I will be back to edit with some audio of the calls.
I went in with my brother as it was my first time patronizing this restaurant. We were seated and chips and salsa were brought to the table. We were not asked for our drink order at that time. We waited....and waited...and waited. Another group came, were seated next to us and were given chips and salsa as well as having their drink order taken. Their drinks were brought and dinner order taken. Meanwhile we sat with no service even when we attempted to flag down a waiter/waitress. We then left after speaking to the "manager".We mentioned our experience to friends who told us that the waiters/waitress did not want to serve patrons of color (Hispanic, black, etc) as they believed they would get little or no tip. I did notice that the patrons that night were of the white persuasion. I am Hispanic descent. Either way we had terrible service. We went to Pancho Villa and had excellent service and food.
This is the hands down best Mexican restraunt in jacksonville. Service was unbelievably quick, refills were on point, the waitress new the menu and the specials. The food was amazing it brought me back to my childhood and how I grew up in Texas. The presentation of the food was on point as well. The prices are fair and the amount of food you get is ridiculous, you will take a box home. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to eat at a Mexican restaurant.
Great food, portions, & lunch menu. They also have a punch card to earn a free meal.
