Don't believe the hype! This is the worst company ever. I signed a contract with the company stating that they would fix the roof for what the insurance company said it should be fixed for as long as I did not decide to later go with another roofer. Then because the insurance company came back and said that the roof could be repaired instead of replaced, R&W led me on for almost a year promising to get to me but never doing so even when they replaced roofs for multiple neighbors surrounding me. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. After lots of complaints and 9 months, I finally got them to release me from the contract so that I could find another roofer. If it was possible to give ZERO stars, I would!
This company forged my signature on a check the insurance company paid to repair the roof of my home, they cashed the check and did not do the work.
My rep Kirk seemed nice and we got through all the documents, down payment & scheduling with no issues. They called the week prior for 7/3/2017 to complete the roof and it would take 1 day. The workers arrived promptly and began. I was off for the holiday so I stayed home & completed food prep etc for a party the next day. The roof noise stopped around 2 but they were still outside. We left closer to 3 & no one was there. They had cleaned up & there was a large trailer parked in the driveway. We have plenty of parking so I didn't think much of it or that no one knocked before they left. The next day we realized the trailer was parked so close there was no way for me to open the garage door. The door has a padlock & is not a rolling door so you would need room to open the door. My driveway can accommodate several cars so there was no need to park this close. When I texted my rep to have them at least come pull the trailer out he said that it wasn't even their trailer it was a subcontractors they use. I hired Benton, what they do from there is still their responsibility. He said he was out of town & couldn't do anything & the man from the other company never answered. 2 hours late for the party, & minus the $400 worth of supplies we had purchased months prior, we left. People where disappointed to say the least. When I said this to my rep he said you knew there would be a trailer. I said yes, I just didn't know it would be parked against my garage. He never replied after that. I then contacted the company via their web site to complain & see what could be done. No one ever got back to me. A week later & no one has even contacted me to resolve this & collect the final payment - which is also impeding my reduced home owners insurance rate. I can't express how disappointed I am. To try and resolve the problem they offered me $400 - & to give them the huge pool floats etc & a receipt. So instead of trying to make up for my 4th they ruined they just want pool floats.
Brandi is great in customer service. Jay is very professional and knows his business. The crew was fabulous. I can only say positive things about this company.
Took a month after estimate and deposit was placed. WATCH OUT FOR AFTER CHARGES on the bill for "kickout flashings" 3@$50 each not installed and the number of 1/2 sheets of plywood 6@$45 ea. Then they won't supply a wind mitigation certificate until the bill is paid. I have doubts about the worker's green card status. ICE should look into this. I wouldn't use them again.
Rogero & Williams Roofing Contractors re-roofed my home in December 2014. We selected them because they offered a 5 yr warranty on their work. The completed work left large gaps between the facia board and shingle surfaces which are large enough for squirrels and rodents to enter. We recently had a squirrel get into our attic because of the gaps they left in multiple areas. I have tried to contact them about this issue and even filed complaint with DBPR but have had no response (so much for their warranty). In addition they left nails all over the place in my yard. I'm still finding them. Also, I negotiated into the contract for them to install new gutters. After finishing the re-roof, they told me that they miscalculated the cost of gutters and were going to need more money to install the gutters. I ended up with a compromise of getting gutters in about 1/2 as much area as originally discussed. The contract wasn't clear.Long story short, this company was pleasant until I signed the work order. After that, it went down hill pretty fast and we ended up with a poor customer experience. Tell your friends not to use this company.
I couldn't recommend these guys more! They did a great job from start to finish! They were professional, polite, and did an amazing job with the clean up afterwards. My roof looks great and has stood up to some horrible storms since it was replaced. Definitely the best roofing company in town!
Absolutely the worst experience we have had with a contractor. From never being unable to get anyone to respond to phone calls to coming by to start the job. Then when they are finished forget trying to get them back out to walk the job. If you want an invoice well forget that as well. They told us any wood they replaced they would take pictures and give us an invoice. Never received either one thou we tried at least 12 times. If you are looking for a roofer go somewhere else!!!!!
UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHADY BUSINESS. I hired them to do a full reshingle job on my roof after getting well over 10 estimates as they seemed knowledgeable and professional at the time. Once the job was booked, the horror began. They showed up almost a month later to begin work, did not follow the contract regarding providing us with hazardous weather inspection UNTIL AFTER WE PAID THEM, damaged a portion of my lawn and eaves, and failed to cover my pool as per the contact which resulted in hours of me sweeping gravel out of it. However the worst part of all, the knuckle boom they brought out to put the shingles on our roof collapsed a good part of my driveway and when I asked them to fix it they tried to tell me it wasn't covered and that they would 'look into it' after they got paid...once I threatened legal action they finally called someone to come fix it but even then it took him well over a month to come out. Before the driveway had even been repaired, the project manager at benton began harassing me daily for payment on the project. Absolute nightmare of a company and experience. Shady, and will try to get out of contactual until threatened with legal action. STAY. AWAY.
I highly recommend palm island homes. I've had the pleasure dealing with the owner Tommy Lopez. He was very professional and informative about his product and service. Being a new homeowner and a homeowner effected by hurricane damage was new to me. Tommy made the transition process from my old roof and new roof as painless as possible. He explained the benefits of certain products and made sure I was making informed decisions. Tommy and his team provided top notch service.
