As a Hospital Administrator, I am constantly educating my staff about proper Customer Service. Let me tell you, the staff of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store in Mandarin, have their Customer Services skills perfected. I have never had more people willing to help me at one time as I did this morning. My husband is deployed, I have three children and I am a working mom. You can say I'm a little stressed sometimes. On my way to daycare this morning, a tire weight decided to lodge itself into my tire. My tire deflated quite fast. I called a neighbor who came and put my spare on. I thanked him and he left. As I pulled back onto the main road (I swear, I have the worst luck), my spare tire came off the rim. Now, I had a flat tire and a flat spare. As I drove 10 mph, on a rim, down a busy road in rush hour morning traffic, I was almost in tears and was clueless as to what to do. I pulled into the first place I could, which just so happened to be O'Reilly Auto Parts. I walked in the door, desperate. Within a minute of being there, their customer service skills had calmed me down, reassured me that it would all be ok and even had me laughing. Unfortunately, my tire was not an easy fix. They did everything they absolutely could, but considering they don't have the necessary tools for that kind of job, it was completely understandable. I had to take it somewhere else, but O'Reilly Auto Parts allowed me to leave my car in their parking lot for a couple of hours. When I came back, they even took the flat spare off for me and put the patched tire back on. I am so very thankful that I pulled into their parking lot this morning. When people go out of their way, as they did, it can make a huge difference in the direction of someone's day. I try to tell my employees that all the time. Charlie, you were a life saver! I am so grateful for your kind words, generosity and willingness to help me this morning. The other two employees, I didn't get their names, were great as well. You three went above and beyond what I would have ever expected when I first walked through those doors this morning. All I can say is Thank You!!!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!!

This is a GEM that I am thankful I found. I just moved to Jacksonville and my car (BMW) was giving me some grief on the ride from DC. I tend towards smaller businesses when it comes to my mechanic as dealers gouge you in prices and tend to be a bit (not all but many) condescending to the female population. I went on a search for good BMW repair shops in Jacksonville - and there are few reviewers in the area so I relied on google reviews. Of course, everyone said stay clear of the two dealerships in town. I came across Carroll Autowerks and, due to location, made an appointment. I arrived 30 minutes before it opened as they agreed to give me a ride to work (not a standard practice but I think they felt for me as I know NO one in Jacksonville). I received a call at 12 stating the car's issues, the ETA for parts, and the price. We moved forward. To their credit - everything went as I was told. The part arrived at 4:30 and the car was ready by 5:30 (with a nice wash and vacuum - worth every penny!). The price was SOOOO reasonable I almost fell out of my chair. Scott mentioned another opportunity (to avoid costly repairs later) and the approximate price which they will be attending to on Tuesday. Definitely recommend for any BMW driver. Scott has many years working on BMWs and he made a great first impression on me.
My husband called Pep Boys for me yesterday after I got to work and found my tire had split open. He told me I had an appt at 2:00 and gave me the price of the new tire. I got there about 1:45....my appointment was not in the computer and price we were quoted was for the wrong size tire and person who made this error was on lunch and could not vouch for anything I was saying. This was little upsetting because we have done a lot of business with them on all three of our cars over the last two years. Well, of course the size tire I actually needed was MUCH more and they told me I needed an alignment! Needless to say I was ticked off, not prepared to pay this much and trying to hurry and get back to work because I was on my lunch break!!! I was ready to leave HOWEVER, the customer service manager, Ms Jackie, would not let me leave without trying to correct the problem or at least make sure I was a little calmer before I left. After speaking with her for several minutes she took total responsibility for her employee's mistake and was able to get the price down to something I could afford but I was most impressed with how nice and calm she was throughout the entire process! She even called me back today to make sure everything was ok! We will definitely continue to do business with them and refer our friends! :-)
I want to tell you how wonderful my overall experience with the Pep Boys on Baymeadows Rd was....I initially visited there location a few months ago with a flat tire. The store manager Ken was very polite and honest while helping me find a replacement for my tire. This past Monday I had to visit there store to have them assist me in resolving a small issue I created while trying to be a mechanic. They did a good job with resolving this issue. While inspecting my car it was noted that it was low on coolant and needed a new radiator cap. Once these 2 changes where made it caused my car to begin to over heat. The next day I took the car back to the store and Allyson and the team discovered that the added pressure from the new radiator cap burst one of my radiator hoses and caused me to loose most of my coolant. The initial diagnoses was it was going to be a $375+ total repair. Unfortunately my current financial situation would not allow me to afford the total repairs...so after working with Allyson and her team they where able to bless my family with doing the needed repairs at no charge. The car is running great. THANKS SO MUCH TO THE TEAM FOR ALL OF THERE HONESTY AND INTEGRITY.
Tim is freaking AMAZING! I really appreciated his hard work and dedication! I have a 2002 Mustang Convertible, my original top was tan and filled with nothing but holes. I couldn't stand it but could not afford getting a top put on at the time. I remember water would run in my car fill the bottom floor and I had to deal with that for a while. Recently, I had a surprise of my life... Everyone knows that my baby is my pride and joy.... For a birthday present, I came home to a brand new black top on my Mustang... Smooth, elegant looking.. I promise you I examined it, every inch of it and it looked so simple to put on.... But I was wrong! This man did a amazing job on my top... Not only did he do my top but he also went out of his way to check everything else! He put my window back on track, explained to me what need to be done for my muffler and gave me references! I am more than thankful for your work sir! I truly appreciate you having this business and YOU being your only worker!
I just brought my 2011 honda to the service department. I came in for an oil change, which they said would take about 45 mins to an hour. It was done within an hour which was pretty good, considering the other people who were ahead of me. while I waited, one of their employees were going around asking if anyone wanted water or popcorn which was really nice. they had a tv for people to watch and comfy chairs. I walked around and browsed the cars in the showroom. The sales people did come up to me and ask me if I was interested in trading in. I said no but did ask them a few questions. They were not pushy at all and were very knowledgeable of the vehicles. After my car was done, they came and got me and explained that my air filter was dirty and showed it to me. It was. So I got a replacement in just a few mins and I was on my way. They were very friendly and the environment was relaxed, but professional. I will most likely be returning in the future.
If you don't let Tim replace your top your CRAZY! It's that simple. He recently replaced my wife's Mustang GT top. He did a great job! He finished when he said he would! He did it for about $300 less than the place we were going to use AND he did a great job!! You might be saying, "But don't you get what you pay for?" That's right you do. So with Tim you pay for his labor, his years of experience and his knowledge. "But won't the top be "cheap?" He will install any top you want; top of the line or cheapest available. It's your call! Don't judge a book by its cover! With Tim what you do not pay for is a nice building with a receptionist and a lot of overhead and a huge mark up on the top. Tim is a car guy! So he cares about doing it right. (I am a Mustang fan, but I appreciate a beautiful car and Tim has a sweet '67 Camaro) Like I said, If you take it somewhere else your CRAZY!
I have an older Mazda Miata convertible. The rear glass window simply fell out one day. I called around to all of the big stores only to feel as if I was getting a run around, not to mention some were simply rude and I was loosing hope. I finally found Tim at T&D tops. Not only did he replace the top, with one that was much nicer than my original, he charged me about 1/2 the price of his competitors! He also explained in detail as to why the rear window could not just be replaced. His work is thorough, high quality and he really puts the customer first. The only sad part for me is that he specializes in the tops, upholstery and headliners. The reason that it is sad, is I would trust him with everything that would need to be done on my car and you certainly don't find that in most business today. I would highly recommend him! view less
Honda of the Avenues suprised me to say the least, and far surpassed my expectations. When you go into a car dealership and expect to get bombarded by pushy salespeople and the run around from the managers. THIS IS NOT THE CASE AT HONDA ON US AND 9A. I was greeted by a very nice young man who worked very hard to get me the best deal possilble. They were much more caring and attentive to my needs than the other two Honda Dealerships I visited. I agreed to purchase the car, and the finance manager Jacob (who was very cute I might add) was fabulous. He took extra time to go over the different packages and finance options they offered and found one that fit my needs and my budget. Honda of the Avenues gets 6 stars in my book. Anyone who reads this that is looking to buy a car should go down and see these guys, they are great!
I have never had such a great experience with an auto repair than I did with T&D Tops. The owner Tim went over and above my request to replace the top on my Z3. He took time to find the special top I needed, got it matched, ordered and delivered, then installed it in one day. It looks like a new car! It's beautiful!! He put the top on with great care and even gave me advice on how to keep it looking like new. He even touched up a few minor mishaps that he saw on my car and that is just unheard of in this day and age of " what's in it for me". Didn't even charge me for it.. How's that for customer service! Wished I could have given him a bigger tip! We have quite a few convertibles in this family and he will be our go to guy always. THANKS Tim, you made my year!! See you when we bring the Jeeps.
