Sat down for dinner as we are waiting for our dinner to be prepared we heard sneezing coming from behind the counter , naturally I look.
The girl making the pies was having a sneezing fit.
Did she excuse herself? NO
Did she shield her sneeze using the bend of her arm? NO
Did she cover her sneeze with a tissue? NO
She did however sneeze on whom ever pie she was making. She did sneeze on all the open ingredients.
To make matters worse ...yes it gets worse , she grabs the top part of her her shirt at the neckline and wipes her snot as if it was Kleenex then continues to spread the cheese out on the pie.
When I got up and said I'm sorry I can't eat pizza from someone who has just had a sneezing fit , blows her nose on her shirt and does not wash her hands , her response ..I use my shirt whats the big deal ????
I said you just wiped your snot with your shirt and handled food.
Needless to say we walked out and will never return. This situation could of been handled in a professional manner and this review would of never been posted.
If the customer says I would prefer it if you washed your hands before preparing my meal, go wash your hands. I can't believe I argued with an adult in the kitchen preparing food about washing hands after sneezing and blowing your nose. I felt like I was talking to a 3 year old.
A friendly family owned establishment with a good understanding of how to make pizza. The "Party of 4"+1 ordered two pizza's, a pepperoni and the "special". After phoning in our order and driving to pick it up, we walked into this establishment and greeted without hesitation. While waiting for our order we observed two lunches coming out of the kitchen and was quite impressed with the quantity being served, as were the customers. Our pizza's were made and the order complete in the 20 minutes we were told. Both pizza's were delivered hot. Everyone liked the appearance of both pizza's and after several minutes of eating, there were many positive comments of the crust. Although the amount of toppings were what you would normally see on a 16" pizza, there were above average marks for the quality of the sausage. The health violations a year ago was 11, most currently 12 total violations as of January 2008 with only 7 of those being critical. Both pizza's were fairly priced for the quantity and quality served. Our average analysis was a 7

We decided to do something small but nice and we went to Rennas Pizza at Mandarin for our 5th anniversary, we order a Large thin crust meat lovers and a bottle of wine, the cashier charged me for both items arround 40 bucks and then after 10 minutes when the pizza was almost ready she told me that they don't have any more wine, so she gave me a dirty glass of wine not even full. Very dissapointed about the service, after I look at the dirty not well washed glass of wine ( of course we didn't drink it) I started looking every corner of the restaurant arround us and I found napkins on the floor, the light lamps with spyderweb, I just decided to take the pizza with us in a box and eat at home. How they can be out of wine a busy Saturday at 7pm. I don't know about the other locations but the 11111 San Jose Blvd. is not recommended at all! The pizza was just ok, soggy all arround but crusty on the edges, not enough good to give more than 1 star to this poor pizza place. Is just not the taste, everything is important: A clean place to eat is nicer. Just wondering do they wash their hands in the kitchen? who knows....

This is our favorite pizza EVER! It is absolutely delicious! The crust is thin and crisp, and the cheese is real whole milk mozzerella, and it has the classic stringy awsomeness! This is a pizza lovers pizza, the pepperonis are flavorful and slightly tender and succulent. It is a place where u pick up at the counter, but no worries, you will enjoy every bite of this pie! Man if it werent the middle of the night i would go get us one LOL

the service is lousy;the pizza is worse!the crust is so thin you you could read a newspaper thru it! i came in with my family, ordered dinners,no waitress service at all! you had to pick up your own order,no trays,no offers of help to your table!i had to ask for forks, knives spoons, etc. it's absurd! the chicken parmigarna was pieces of thinly sliced chicken patties! for over$63.00 that i was charged,i could've done better at benigan's across the street,at least they know how to smile and say hello, and welcome-will never return-the sauce has a burnt flavor and smell to it!!

My wife and I ate there last Tuesday. The pizza is fresh and really good.
But we observed that the food preparer scratched her thigh and continued preparing the pizza without washing her hands. She should be wearing plastic gloves in the first place.
Also the place doesn't look so clean and the rest rooms are dirty too.
Sorry, we won't go back there anymore.
If the owner wants it to be the best pizza place in town, he should strongly remind his employees about cleanliness. Or he won't get repeat business.
Sam's Club across the street doesn't offer fresh pizza, in fact they offer terrible pizza, but the employees wear plastic gloves.

I'm 40 years old and before I could drive we went from San Jose area to Phillips Mall (yeah, you're old too if you remember that mall) and ate at the original Renna's. Now that I can get delivery at my home from a Renna's I've forgotten Dominjoke, Pitiful Hut, and Crappy John's. Want real pizza, call Renna, I will be in 30 minutes!

I love the Pizza! I love the fact you can see them making your food. The staff was very helpful. They really go out of thier way to make sure the customer is happy. I had a slice of pizza, a salad, and a slice of chocolate cake for dessert. Its a little higher priced but well worth it.

Glancing at a fresh pie, it looks like any other pizza you might get like at, say, Sbarro. But when you taste it...the sauce and their toppings...you discover this is more than a mere pizza. It's quite simply heaven on earth. Thank God I'm stationed in Jax. :)

when we lived in jax. we visited this pizza place quite often. since moving to houston, tx., we have not been able to find a pizza place that even comes close to this one. the fresh ingredients, the cold beer... this is by far the best pizza place in jax. i wish i was in jax!
