I got a call from these people the other day, I was threaten, they pulled up my personal information on my credit report, my credit card history, and told me I could not work out a payment with them because they would not accept what I had to offer. Every time I asked a question the lady ask me was i stupid and the conversation ended in me cursing her out everyone who works here is rude and disrespectful they say anything they can to try to get you to pay them, but you can not even talk to someone with common sense the lady told me she was in school and had debt but she pays her bills unlike me, yet she works for a collectors agency looks like her degree didn't work out to well. I am done talking to these people they need to be shut down, I am going around them and I will have them reported.

You don't have to pay them. They purchase settled/written off accounts. The companies have already taken the loss on these accounts. CCS and companies like them typically pay .01 to .02 per dollar of what was owed on the written off account and try and collect the whole amount. Then they make you feel like their doing you a favor if you settle for half or more. You won't improve your credit paying them. The original company has already written it off and reported it to the collection agency.

the collection person is so un-educated he must think of his job as if everyone he comes in contact lacks any smarts also. He calls my home constantly and he feels that I should not answer my phone he called me coo coo now let's see if I'm so coo coo when I sue your stupid company.

My mother received a letter from these people that was addressed to my brother which is in jail and she opened it. I called to tell them that he was in jail and the man that talked to me was very rude and threatening because the letter was opened. He then began to tell me about how wrong it was to open other people's mail without their knowledge. I figured that I was doing them a favor by letting them know that they cannot get any money from him right now and to stop sending letters and calling. I was told to send the letter back with a written explanation as to why the mail was opened by somebody other than the person that it was written to. I am not even going to send it back because he is to stupid to understand that he is not going to get paid right now because of where my brother is and we have no idea when he will be getting out. Instead of trying to find out when he will be getting out he was more concerned about the letter being opened. Maybe they will be stupid enough to send another one next month and instead of opening it my mother, who is 82 years old, can just throw it away. In the trash is where all of the people that work for this company should be.

For the last 3 yrs they been calling my house trying to collect a debt for an old roommate that passed away a yr an half ago, both me an my other roommate have told these people this, an im sure if they had 1% of a functioning brain they could check this themselves and realize their collection from him just isn't gonna ever happen. But no they continue to call here for a dead guy, so were at wits end here considering that we are getting harassed by them daily and its not even one of us they are calling for.

If you are having problems with this company slam them and take them to court just like I did. Check out myfairdebt and it tells you what is legal for debt collector to do and what is not. I got 1,000 and so did my step dad from this company and my attorney got 5,000 in fees from them. These people are horrible!!! Stick it to them just like I did, it was so worth it and I did not have to pay any legal fees, the debt collector has to pay your legal fees. :) Good luck to all of you!!!

This company needs to be stopped in how they treat people. I actually called numerous times on my lunch but of they were never available. They were rude, belittled me in every way possible and basically said I will nevery amount to anything...going so far as to suggest that I pay off my debt by putting it on another credit card!!! I am now exploring every option on how to deal with them. He ended the call by stating that he would be contacting my employer in the very near future for wage garnishment and litigation which I believe there are limitations to garnishment in PA. Help!!!

We have an acct with this company which we had no knowledge of until 6 months ago. Since then we have set up an agreement with them one month of missing payments they continued harrassing us @ work and @ home. Bernard Dickinson is who were working with he has screamed at us, belittled us as well as made cocky comments about our finances. These people need to be SHUT DOWN I'd like to workwith another company. I hope that suit against them is passed. if anyone can help us in finding ways out of this let us know.

This is the only company I owe money to so dont go and say I dont pay my bills. But they did tell me that I had to have a bank acct to make payments I told them I dont have,want or even need a bank acct i do better without it. They rufused to set up payments with a prepaid visa until I threatend to take them to court over them refusing to take a payment on a debt I OWE. So here it is the day for me to call and make a payment and the 2 number I have are disconnected so i called my case workers direct line and it also is disconnected but yet i got no letter informing me of a new number or anything but I BET here in a week or so they call me for not paying now how is that FAIR!!!! Since i have been paying them and then this??? What has this country come to?

They are AWFUL to work with!!! I completely understand that I owe the money. I even tried to set up the payment they wanted. They wouldn't accept it because all I had was a card number and had NO WAY to get a checking account number. The girl was SOOOO rude and treated me like I was criminal. Clearly people that have accounts here owe money, however, that doesn't give them the right to treat people like garbage!! BEWARE don't let them bully you!! THE SUPERVISORS ARE EVEN WORSE!!

Last year I did a buyout with their representative Mike Jones, he was calling me constantly at work and I was put on report for it at work and almost fired for it. I finally worked out a buyout with him to close the account for good. I was suppose too be sent a confirmation letter confirming the closure, if something ever come up i could use as proof of the closed account. That was back in 8/27/08, now here it is Dec. and there is another company called Leading Edge that says that is not correct, and unless i can get that letter from CCS. They will start harassing me for the same exact payment I paid CCS. I have called CCS and I get an operator and she is always putting me through to someone but the phone cuts off while I am waiting, or she puts me to a person's voice mail that does not ever come on. How can I get a real person that can just email me the letter that I was promised. Then it will all be straightened out and over with.

I first encountered these folks back in May and informed them that I was on medical leave due to a serious illness. They informed me that they could care less about my illness, and frankly thought I was making it up. I offered to provide them with medical documentation at which they responded, ""We don't want your documents, just your money."" Regardless of their insensitivity, I continued to make payments to the original creditor to the best of my ability. From June to just recently I had not heard from them. Last week they begin to call me at 7:30 in the morning. Finally, at a resonable hour, which was about their 4th call to me that day, I answered. Their primary focus was trying to get me to tell them my social security number. I told them I was not going to tell them and the individual repsonded, "" Oh, we don't want you to tell us, just varify the one we have on file."" I hung up. Today I spoke to a punk with a ficticious name of Mike Jones, yeah right, who was fine until I stated I was willing to work with to continue making my monthly payments. It was then that he got nasty and stated I needed to pay the amount in full in one month or else. I told him that was impossible and he then stated, ""Ok, get ready to suffer the severe consequences!"" Don't give in to these people, just keep paying whatever you can because as long as you are showing an effort to be responsible there is nothing they can do. I will report them to every regulating authority and consumer advocate agency I can find.

I have been harassed by this company for a debt that is paid. I have faxed the documentation showing that it is paid but they conttnue to claim that I haven't and that they don't care what I have they know I owe it and will not stop calling. I have told them not to call on my work number but they do it anyway. They are collecting on a credit card that I couldn't pay because they increased my % by 300%! Bank of America! Don't deal with them. They charged it off and another collection coompany who was just as bad called and threatend to foreclose on my home. They took money from my acct without my authoriztion. I did make arrangement s and paid it and now I am going thru it all over again. I will never have another credit card.
Remember when we were young having a credit card was as if you didn't have money! We need to all stop using credit and they won't be able to do this any more!

Abusive, rude, and possibly one of those who would go postal on you. I spoke with a Mr. Kelly Jones last week at this company due to some temporary financial hardships that I am experiencing. As I explained to them for the 45th time the circumstances of that hardship, he immediately became rude and condescending. He started screaming at me and being verbally abusive. I was married to a man who had the same types of anger and relationship management problems, and this company, and in particular, this poor man are dangerous. If they call you, very politely ask for their address, and then send them correspondence indicating that they can communicate with you via writing only--you have that right. Better still, go back to the company you owe the money to and deal with them, even if it's sending them only $1 a month--this company and its employees are like the gestapo--achieving results through intimidate rather than help. You don't have to talk with them, that is your legal right.

To anyone who deals with this company read the fair credit reporting act and quote this frequently, do your research on collection agencies. Make them aware it is illegal for them to keep calling after you have asked them to stop. Always report these agencies to the B, B,B.
To the people that work for this company: You should all be ashamed of yourselves, how can you treat people like this and sleep at night. You are unbelievably heartless and soulless people.
