        Starting out as a small corner store with an inventory hand written on 3 sheets of legal paper, the company began to grow in the 1960's.Thrower Lumber became established into one of the few lumberyards in town until it was acquired in 1976.A few years later, Bill Thrower Company Inc was established. At that time, the company was primarily plywood and Micarta to the cabinet shops around town. As the construction and home building industry began to grow, so did the product offerings. One of the first companies to have a door assembly line, we began to produce prehung doors to many homebuilders in the area. During the late 80's, the commercial door and hardware division was added. Today, Bill Thrower Company is one of the only organizations to offer both residential and commercial doors and other products. We operate 2 prehung door shops and a weld shop for fabricating doors and frames for commercial applications. We also carry a variety of door accessories.
