YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Hello, my name is Scott from The Flip Flop Shop. I am the rude, aggressive person who smirked (whatever that is) the poster below is talking about. I would like to set the record straight about this complaint and the transaction in question. What Ms. Anonymous did not mention, the flip flops she purchased were from the 40% Clearance Rack. We have three signs in the store, one next to the cash register, one in the back of the store and one where we move these items to, explaining our return policy. Our policy is also on the receipt in CAPITAL LETTERS which simply says:Exchanges or Store Credit for unworn merchandise only.Exchanges must be within 30 days and have all original tags and receipt. No cash refunds.CLEARANCE ITEMS-FINALThis is not not an unusual policy, many small retailers like ourselves, and bigger chains have the same policy. We tried it the other way for about 6 months and it was an economic disaster. As for Clearance Items almost all stores, the big guys too, have the same policy-ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Most people understand and accept this policy. For those who do not like it, they are more than welcome to shop elsewhere, I respect this. I also respect the few people who voice their displeasure for the policy. This is their right and I will thoughtfully listen. However, for the 12 people a year (out of thousands who shop here annually), usually 6 or so in January, who feel it is their right to call us names and try to bully myself and staff, they are at the wrong place. Ms. Anonymous falls into the latter category . I did not have to even accept these Sandals as an exchange, but I did. Only after she was told there was only to be store credit or an exchange available for these clearance flip flops did we not get along. Ms. Anonymous called us TACKY and a few other choice words. At the register, after she found a pair for her other son to exchange and was checking out, the abuse continued and then I smirked (whatever that is). If saying no and standing up to a barrage of insults is rude and aggressive, I plead guilty. As for our initial meeting where she says, I seemed to be annoyed and busy, she is correct on one count, I was busy. That day we were swamped with customers (yep, people like shopping here). On the first count on me being annoyed -simply not true. Like anybody or any business we make mistakes. This was not a mistake, it was a favor that turned out to be the mistake. For her comments and the way she acted in our store, well that's TACKY,and I will leave it at that. We have the nicest, happiest customers in Jacksonville. We go well above and beyond for all of our customers. This is our responsibility and makes US feel good at the same time. The Flip Flop Shop is a fun place to be, with the best selection of sandals and flip flops in Jacksonville. Finally, and I guess you will have to trust me on this one. WE REALLY DO HAVE THE NICEST STAFF IN TOWN!... Visit us at the Avenues Mall and you will see...I will try not to smirk (what ever that is) Now for something more important, GO GATORS!, take condolence in the fact that 5 Years ago Alabama forgot to show up against Utah, with the same results, before going on their 4 year run...GO DAWGS!, in the best college football game of the season ya'll were one play from beating Notre Dame in the National Championship Game...FSU, be afraid, be very afraid, the most SEC type team in college football, not in the SEC, for real folks...Notre Dame, love them or hate them, it's good to see them back in the spotlight and great for College Football...and...Roll Tide! Beating Notre Dame in the National Championship Game, I've waited 40 years for this one, priceless... The SEC! still King of College Football-Long live the King...
I had a horrible experience. The store owner was rude when I made a purchase. He seemed annoyed and busy and I just attributed that to being busy for the holidays. Unfortunately the flip flops I bought my son didn't fit. I brought them back and tried to exchange them but my son has wide feet and none of the flip flops fit comfortably. I said I would just take a refund. The owner immediately came at me defensively saying he would take them back and give me store credit but no refund and told me I should have seen the small print at checkout about no refunds and it was on the receipt. I had no issue with the policy but the owners very aggressive demeanor with me and telling me that it's a small business and that's how it is, was what upset me.If he had spoken politely and told me the situation I would have been fine, but he was very short and when I complained he told me to post it and smirked. So I'm posting my experience. I respect small business owners, but when your products are marked up 100% you should really focus on customer service. i won't go there again and will tell anyone I can about my experience.
