The host seemed very confused about seating people at tables. The larger the party the more it seemed like the young lady lacked in problem solving skills. My family and I arrived at the restaurant about 5:50 p.m. on 6/9/2017 and didn't leave until about 7:15 p.m. The service was very slow. The server seemed preoccupied with a soccer game that was playing on television. The Sprite my son received tasted more like a club soda. It took several minutes to get an orange soda to replace the Sprite that was no longer avaliable. The food was hot, but had no flavor. The staff did not act like a team. It seemed like the employees did what they wanted whenever they wanted. This use to be a quick, friendly and flavorful location. I'm sad to say I will not return to this location after many years. There was an obvious breakdown in many areas of this establishment.
We order from your establishment religiously food is great but for some reason there is something missing or not right You guys have well made up for it I love it when i call in our order and you guys already know what we want!!! You guys are amazing and we plan to continue to eat there almost every day if not twice a day depending how much of a taco mood my guy is in Lol you guys definitely have our business indefinitely
Awesome, awesome, awesome, waitress was very pretty and very nice, food was fantastic. Can't say enough. I have had Mexican food in every state along the southern coast from California to Florida. Chicken was marinated perfectly and the ranchero sauce was amazing on the el paso.
Food is hot and fresh, always good. Drinks are good. Service is really good. This quickly became my favorite restaurant when living in Jax. Prices are good too.
Rudest customer service ever. Just do yourself and your family a favor and go anywhere else. Horrible non responsive manager and corporate office.
We were in Jacksonville for an appointment. We were interested in eating at a good TexMex restaurant and heard about The Mitt. We strongly recommend this restaurant. It provides you an opportunity to eat a great home cooked meal prepared by a family that is using old family recipes. It is like being invited to a great meal at someone's home. Do not pass up a chance to eat here. It was worth traveling a long distance to eat here, and only regret we have to travel so far to eat there again.
Nice ambiance with tables available inside and in open. Mostly on weekends, artists play music making the ambiance much better.
Excellent service and food.
Meh- there is nothing special about Mr taco. I'd like to begin with the fact thgat I am new to the city. I have been to many establishments where my $30 would have gotten much more. Since the economy in Jacksonville is comparable to what I'm used to I say they are overpriced. While the food was good and abundant, it was nothing to write home about. The service has room for lots of improvement. There are no servers. You order at the counter and a cashier brings it out. She had to go back twice because she'd left food in the window. The other two cashiers simply watched from behind the counter. The place was clean and the food decent. This is why they got two stars instead of none. Overall my experience was just OK. A note to travellers- If your in the area and hungry for tacos, give it a try. Just don't make any special trip. To Mr Taco- cilantro doesn't go on everything.
