Time for a review. I just completed my first lease at The Point at Tamaya. These are the new luxury apartments off Beach Boulevard next to the beautiful new estate homes in that new Tamaya neighborhood. First, my personal like is brand new apartments. This location is also fantastic, close to the beach, close to St. John's Town Center, close to all the shopping off Beach Boulevard and the Southside, and in a real safe area. As a single woman, I have never felt anything but totally safe here. Next, The Point at Tamaya is the brand new community and very nice, too. The clubhouse is always clean. There's good coffee every morning. The landscaping and grounds are kept immaculate. Dog owners are responsible here. The cookout areas are convenient. The pool is beautiful and huge. I actually enjoy going to Tamaya events-gatherings here, something I rarely did at other places I've lived. My "at home" feeling here is also due to the reliable and friendly office staff. Al, the manager, Amanda, assistant manager, Lindsay, my leasing agent, and the other ladies on staff here are all welcoming, nice, and very concerned about anything I need to live well here - and anyone who has lived in apartment communities knows how rare this is. Ken, the head of maintenance, is totally awesome. Now about my apartment. I had a lot of wants on my check-list: an island kitchen, a pantry, a good washer and dryer, big bedrooms, big walk-in closets with shelves, walk-in shower, ceiling fans in all rooms, and a nice size patio. Got it all. Plus, we have front doorbells just like a private home. And, extra nice, my floorplan has a private parking space with a big attached garage. I walk directly into my own apartment from my garage, an excellent feel for personal security. Love it. I looked at a lot of other Jacksonville apartments to make sure I had the best place for me and this is why I just resigned a year's lease. Absolutely no buyer's remorse.
