Dumb Bouncers

I am a resident of jacksonville and have lived at the beaches off and on. Ive been to this place numerous times before never really had a problem but the place was always crowded beyond belief so i stopped going there and maybe went there a handful of times in the past 3 to 4 years..i went there for a friends birthday to buy some shots for her and get out of there. the problem arose when i was carded at the door and the bouncer looked at it and handed it to the barback. i said to him im 27 years old i hope you dont think thats a fake id. he then responded by saying that i looked alittle intoxicated. i just got off work an hour before and had 1 beer. i then told him to get an officer over here and ill ask him to perform a field sobriety test or use a breathalyzer.. he just ignored me. barback dude handed me my id back and i left.. DONT GO THERE EVER...it takes 20 mins to get a drink in there anyways

Avoid Friday and Saturday nights

During the daytime it is completely empty. On Friday and Saturday night, all hell breaks loose. I have seen more fights with bouncers here then anywhere else I have been. Great place to go and watch the bouncers and cops beat people up. Not for me though.

UGH!

If you like to hang out with pimply faced under aged kids and order overpriced fruity drinks...the Ritz is the place for you. Gross.

worste place, bad people, bad cops

Be very careful going to this bar. The bouncer staff is very aggressive, and so are the cops that are PAID to patrol the parking lot. They are PAID, and armed with tasers and revolvers. PEOPLE ARE BEING SHOT WITH TASERS REGULARLY outside of this bar. I have seen it several times and almost everytime it was not justified! and the situation only escalated from a very AGGRESSIVE bouncer crew.

STAY AWAY.

Avoid if possible. Bouncers are given authority and abuse it.

I used to like this place until they started harrassing me because I look younger than everyone else. The bartenders are rude to you if you're are not a regular or female. No matter if you did anything wrong they will always have a reason to throw you out. Most of the crowd is the type that thinks they own Jax beach and are they best at everything. There are much better places to go on the beach for good drink specials and great crowd. By far the worst establishment in Jax beach when it comes to customer satisfaction.

No generation crossing

This is a great bar for the under-35 set. Anyone older than that may feel out of place. Wed. nights feature pints of Irish Stout for $1. Very good bar if you are young but the clientele look at you like you are an alien if you're over 35.
