Cheddars Casual Cafe
1116 Emporium Dr, Jackson, TN 38305
Cheddar’s began as a simple idea. Our founders, Aubrey Good and Doug Rogers envisioned an inviting neighborhood restaurant offering handmade, high quality food at a reasonable price. They wanted their guests to feel valued and respected. And they were determined to never compromise these fundamentals. Their dream became a reality in 1979 when the first Cheddar’s opened its doors in Arlington, Texas, starting a tradition of quality that guides us every day. We’re especially proud of our menu, including homemade favorites that are still prepared the same way, in-house and from scratch. We are also proud of our great team. They are attentive and dedicated to taking care of our guests each and every day. At Cheddar’s, our goal is to live up to that original, simple idea: be a great restaurant that serves quality food fresh from the kitchen in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere at a fair price. Visit Cheddar’s and let us share with you our simple idea.

Love this place, been 6 times and have tried something dif each time. Each meal was great. Service was soso. I understand its a busy place, but I like my glass kept full. And we had to sit and wait for the bill and then wait for them to come back to table to get bill, then wait for them to cash us out. Need to come up with a dif system with as busy as the servers are.
Went to Cheddars yesterday and received the absolute worst service ever!!!! Trey Palmer is not a good manager and needs to take a few courses in Customer Service. We were chased down and yelled at by a wait staff in front of our children and a restaurant full of guests. To add insult to injury the waiter Danielle follows us to the front of the store and continues to down talk us in front of the guests that are arriving and the other manager on duty Marissa until the other staff has to escort her to the back. I have never felt so belittled in my life especially as a paying customer. They have definitely lost my business.
visiting from Fla, love this restaurant, best onion rings , salmon dish has delicious flavoring, steak and ribs very good also. chocolate cake with ice cream looks delicious but I need to be Gluten Free.so I suggest making it with GF flour and advertise it!!! can't wait to visit a cheddars in fla. staff are excellent always
My family and I just left cheddar's the experience was terrible. The food was not edible. We won't be returning for a few year. Management was not adequate. Praying that the food gets better. Very very very unhappy customer! (Hope you didn't ruin it for the other cheddar's when I travel!!)
OMG! You've got to stop there. The Croissants are REAL ONES! The food divine, the service good, and the price so reasonable that if we lived closer, we'd be there once a week!
We're from SW Kansas and driving through. The GPS took us to the closest steak house. We're still talking about the place. For you-all that don't know. A croissant is not a croissant if you can make a sandwich out of it. A real one is airy, extraordinarily flaky, hot, bits of deliciousness. A person can easily eat four of them. Try that with the doughballs usually passed off as a croissant! A chef who worked at St. Joseph's hospital in Denver, Co made them. He was later recruited to teach at a prestigious school. It has taken most of my adult life to find some. Williams Sonoma, the catalog people can send some. Or just go by Cheddars in Jackson!
I travel frequently and always search for Cheddars near my destination. This is the worst location. I ordered a steak and seafood dish. The 6 oz sirloin is obviously small portion; the seafood was not too awfully bad, but the steak was filled with gristle. Although the waitress did ask if all was ok.. I was choking down the steak and nodded ok as I truly tried to eat it. I hate sending back food for fear of what they will do to it when it's returned. When the bill came, Less than $15, I thought I really should tell her about the untasty and bad steak. The mgr, "Rich"came over, I showed him the half I left on my plate and pointed out the gristle. He said, "well, you put quite a dent in it," and refused to reduce my bill at all. I did not want a FREE Meal.. Just a reduction. It's obvious he has never attended a basic customer service course. It appears he needs to compensate for his small size by mistreating paying patrons. What a shame. Cheddars otherwise is great place to unwind and have a decent meal.
My family and I are from Clarksville Tenn, and was home (In Jackson Tenn) for the weekend.Chose Cheddars to dine, and it was ridiculous!!The waitress was awesome, the managers had no clue!!Really the mangers were sorry but the waiters and waitress were great, what's really the problem??A manager came by and asked if everything was ok,and my husband replied and explained what the problem was and asked if he could bring him some warm food, and he replied,"if thats what you want me to do"!!(very sarcasticly), What?I'm for sure he wasn't trained to make a reply like this, but when our waitress returned we explained to her what was going on and she said,"Oh,I am so sorry, I will make sure everything goes well with your order", and within five to seven minutes she corrected the problem!!The manager returns a couple of minutes after and asked again if everything was ok ,and my husband said no,and the manager walked off!! So you see, you can train anyone for a mangers position, but that doesnt mean they are actually fit for that position,he shouldnt even be a waiter!!!He has the wrong job, But Daniel was great, should be a supervisor, very professional, and attitude was outstanding!!!!!!Go Daniel and thanks so much!!And this rating would have been a lot better if the manager would have been somewhere else other than Cheddars. But the food was great!
