After doing my research on property managers in the Jackson/Madison area, we settled on Damon and we could not be happier. Everything is taken care of for us and we have zero worries from 1,000+ miles away.
I RATE THEM NO STARZ. I LIVED THERE IN 2012-2013. I ALWAYS PAID MORE THAN THE RENT AND I ALWAYS PAID IT ON TIME EVERYTIME. MY WHOLE EXPERIENCE WHILE LIVING THERE WAS HORRIBLE. I. WASNT EVEN THERE A MONTH. WHEN MY SISTER CALL ME AN TOLD ME THAT THE MAINTENANCE GUYS AT THAT TIME WHERE THERE. ONE WAS SITTING ON MY COUCH LOOKING AT THE STUFF IN MY HOUSE. AND THE OTHER WORKER WAS SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE HOUSE. MY HUSBAND CAME HOME EARLY ONE DAY TO PICK UP MY BABIES. AND I RECEIVED A CALL ASKING WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL OF OUR STUFF. THE DOORS WERE NO KICKED IN THE WINDOWS WHERE NOT BROKEN GARAGE WAS DOWN... BUT MY STUFF WAS GONE. AND O YEAH THE DOORS WHERE LOCKED. I MY STUFF WAS GONE. TVS, COMPUTERS, HUNTING EQUIPMENT. WE NEVER FELT SAFE MY DAUGHTER RAN IN MY ROOM AND SAID SOMEBODY WAS TALKING OUTSIDE HER WINDOW. SO I HAD TO SLEEP IN THE NEXT BEDROOM WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY SONS ROOM. I AS NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THEM TO FIX THE FENCE SHE NEVER DID. SHE KEPT MY DEPOSIT SHE NEVER GAVE IT BACK. THEN SHE TRIED TO TAKE ME TO COURT FOR MONEY. WHEN I TOLD HER I WASNT PAYING THAT SHE ALREADY HAD MY DEPOSIT. SHE HAD IT PUT ON MY CREDIT.
Above & beyond. We have a home we needed someone to manage for us as we live out of state. Damon has taken care of our home for two years now and we couldn't be happier. Everything--lawn care, plumbing, maintenance, rent, etc is taken care of by him and we know we are in good hands. Our property manager is wonderful!
We had a great experience working with Damon. We needed to rent our home out pretty quickly due to a job transfer. He was very knowledgeable with the area and very helpful throughout the experience. Damon and his team were able to get our property rented very quickly and we are very pleased. He is currently managing our property. I would definitely recommend Damon for any real estate need!!!
This management company is doing partiality to some residents. They will send frequent notice to you not your neighbor who has been doing the same thing as you do. This is very stress full and kind of harassment. If your neighborhood is manage by this company like my at CYPRESS LAKE,MADISON you will never feel that you own a house always feel you are still renting an apartment by getting frequent notices. I don't know how good are they in maintaining their own things.
I have read on the Damon Wofford website that this property managing company is top notch. I am not sure if this is true for real estate sale. However, for renting Damon Wofford Realty is nearly impossible to get in touch with. They do not answer their phones. Email is the preferred communication method which is time consuming and sometimes confusing. Moreover, they would not work around my work schedule when scheduling showings, and although they said they would inform me about when open houses are scheduled, they failed to do this on multiple occasions.

This company has sent me two checks in the past 3.5 months that have bounced and now it has been nearly three months for one of the checks and a month and a half for the other and they have yet to reimburse me for the money that is owed to me. They mark up all repairs and maintenance by 15% to keep for themselves even though they are already getting 10% of the rent. During the one year I have had them as my property management company the amount of maintenance cost I have spent far exceeds any of the other 4 houses I own and because I live in another state, I have no idea if or how legitimate all these "repairs" are. I don't know if the house has suddenly become a money pit or if I am being taken advantage of. They never return any of my calls and seem to prefer to only correspond via e-mail which isn't very helpful when they owe me over $1000. I would look elsewhere for property management.
I hired Awesome Property Management to management my residential home in Jackson Ms for almost two years things were okay until the month of October. In September I had to email them about a late rent payment for September and if there was a problem it was almost September 20, 2012. They then called me saying the rent check was in the mail and I would be receiving it shortly. I did not receive the check until September 25, 2012 I then cashed the check. On Oct 2, 2012 the bank called me and told me the property management company had wrote me a bad check and the funds were taken out of my account. I then emailed the property management company about the check and to give me a call. I received an email not saying that they were sorry but to re-run the check. I email them back and told them that the bank said they could not re-run the check and a new check had to be issued. I asked them to wire the money to my account in order to make my account current leaving my account number. They responded the next day saying they needed my bank routing number, when they could have called me the same day to expedite the process. I sent them the bank routing number and asked that they email when the funds were transferred. I never received an email and the funds were not transferred to my account. My bank account is in the negative because of the bad check they wrote me, for rent they collect from the renters that live in my home. And they have done nothing to fix the problem and now it is Saturday Sept 6, 2012 a long Columbus day weekend. I will be immediately terminating there services and telling everyone I know to never do business with them unless it is direct deposit. I am writing this to warn people about AWESOME PROPERTY MANAGEMENT and never again will I do business with anyone that writes checks or can not pick up the phone to talk to the customers they work for. This AWESOME Property Management Company is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I have homes in 4 different states for almost 12 years.
Don't rent from these people I have been trying to get my deposit back for a month and their excuses are running thin
