The Clerk s Office is a part of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals of the state of Mississippi. It acts as the repository of legal filings brought before the courts and offers a wide range of services related to the judicial process. Its areas of responsibility include documentation of each stage of a case from the notice of appeal through the issuance of the mandate. The office makes and transmits notices of appeal and certified copies of the trial court docket opinions and judgments to the Supreme Court. It also submits filings made for Motion for Rehearing to the courts and accepts requests for processed records. The Clerk s Office is located in Jackson, Miss.
