My experience with Shear Talent was great!! Marie Allen is the best stylist there is!! The location and the people there are very professional.
Awesome little salon in Sola at Dogwood. Talented stylists. Extension specialist. Davines products. https://m.vagaro.com/Vamp-thesalon
I showed Shane a picture of what I wanted, and he did the opposite. Last time I checked, multi toned streaks look nothing like an ombré. And when he was finished (and new he didn't give me what I had asked for) he scheduled an appointment for me to have it fixed on a Saturday. This salon is only open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Also, my appointment was at 1:30. He told me I would be out of there well before 4, so I could make it on time to work. When it was around 3:45, he told me he would call my boss lady and let her know I'd be late, since he "knew her personally". When I arrived to work (thirty minutes late) my boss hadn't heard anything from anyone and didn't even know the SOB. I don't know what I did to deserve what happened to me.Be warned of this cross dressing lunatic.
I had heard good things about this stylist and decided to make an appointment. Once I made the appointment, I called a few days prior to confirm the appointment and services I would be receiving. I made these confirmation calls on a Friday and Saturday...days I would expect most stylists would be working, but there was no answer. After repeated attempts to reach the stylists to confirm, none of my calls were answered and none of them were returned.I began to think that maybe the stylist forgot the appointment or perhaps she would not be there when I arrived. Because of this, I planned to call about an hour before the appointment on the day of the appointment. I did this, but still no answer and no call back? She was totally unresponsive. Since I was coming a relatively long distance, I wanted to touch base with her before I came by as to avoid a wasted trip and I wasn't sure if she would be at the shop since she never answered her phone.I decided to take a chance and go to her shop anyway.Admittedly, I was late getting to the shop, but this was because I had to pull over to keep trying to reach her on the phone before arriving and she wasn't picking up. Had she answered an hour before I called, I would have been on time, but she didn't.When I arrived at the shop, the stylist was rude and had forgotten my appointment. This was just as I had expected. Her behavior was a complete turn-off. It was one thing to fail to answer a business line and to forget my appointment, but it was quite another thing to be rude about it. How unprofessional...Based on my experience, I felt it could only go downhill from there and I decided not to go through with the appointment.I don't know about you guys, but I like a beautician who I can talk to so that I can let them know what I want. If I can't get what I want when it comes to my hair, them it's just not worth it.
It's super convenient for me
I moved to Jackson last year and for about 9 months I continued to drive back home 3.5 hours away to get my hair cut and highlighted. Then I got brave and booked an appointment with Julie. She did an amazing job!!! Julie is fun to talk to and her prices are very reasonable. Not to mention she will see me after work, which is a plus. Just bring cash or check, they don't take credit cards.
I went in for a small trim and left out butcherd.... Will never go here again and would advice no one else to go unless u wana pay twice because u have to go somewhere else to get it fixed.....
Fanta's Hair Braiding is excellent. I got my hair did a few months ago, and they still look decent. I love the atmosphere there. It is very comfortable. Thank you.
I travel to a lot places and I have went to many Braiding shops but Fanta's was the BEST , their shop was clean and everybody was so nice and welcoming. Fanta did my two goddess braids for $45 dollars and it was amazing it lasted me a month and I got many compliments . I came the second time and got micro braids They told me me straight up that the hair was blended and was not 100% human which is understandable because human hair cost like up to $400 dollars so i was sastifiesd with the hair they gave me. her work is just AMAZING!
