I've lived in Jackson for 18 years and have never heard anything negative about this place. As a matter of fact when a local CPA was elected to the state house he treated all of his colleagues to a Schlenker's burger. Obviously, he was trying to make a good impression and was confident that the burgers would do it.This place is across town from us and my wife loves to cook so we haven't tried it until today. I had a burger with lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion, ketchup and mayo. It was delicious. My wife had a burger with mayo, ketchup, mustard and tomato. She liked hers, too. We shared an order of fries. It was HUGE. Too much for 1 person unless you take part of it home. Even between the two us it was a lot. A half order for the two of us would have been right. The fries are delicious! Very hot when served, be careful. I tried the malt vinegar. I don't get it. It's flavored water.About the cleanliness: IT'S CLEAN. The folks are friendly. You can tell the customers were looking forward to coming here and they have a smile on their faces when they come in. A lot of folks call in pick-up orders, probably for their places of work. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a no frills burger experience and doesn't mind mingling with the working class.
Don't even bother wasting your time or money here. My husband and I went there for a late afternoon wine tasting and received the absolute worst service from the waitress/so called manager, Tonya. We were asked to pay for the wine tasting with the cashier, who didn't bother asking for our I.D.'s before paying for an alcoholic service. We walked out to the porch to sit at our table and 5 minutes later we were asked to move closer to the door because the waitress didn't want to walk the extra 10ft to the table we chose....we were the ONLY ones there! When the waitress finally came out to give us our menu she also asked for our I.D.s. She looked at my husband and said she couldn't serve him because his I.D. expired 4 days ago. My husband is 36 years old!! No where near under 21!!! Although we understand the legal aspects, it is also legal for a waiter/waitress to serve a patron without I.D. if they are over 35 or look older than 30. The waitress rudely said it was to her discretion and she wouldn't serve him. She failed to even ask him for another legal form of identification. Not only did she not apologize for this inconvenience but she maintained her rude demeanor the whole time!!
Yum, love everything at this place!
for a chain store they do a good job.
People are nice and a great place to get a donut....or two.
Food was just okay, but the service was frankly just rude to our group. Very disrespectful.
Nice place but not cheap. $5.50 for a burger that is small.
