Poor heat in our Hyundai Sonata 2008. Maguire replaced a thermostat, inlet hose to heater core and added 1 gallon coolant. They had the car for a week. Charged $464.98.My daughter was driving a couple of days afterword’s and said the heat wasn’t hot enough.Since she was coming home in a few days and didn’t have enough time to return it to Maguire I said I would check it when she got home (5 hour drive). I confirmed the heat was poor and checked the coolant, I had to add 1 gallon. It was fortunate the car didn’t overheat and blow the engine.I had the problem before and had back flushed the heater core myself and notices the heater core hose connections at the firewall were corroded. I had figured Maguire would replace the heater core. The thermostat was not the problem, the heater core needed to be replaced and I had it done in my hometown. Beef with Maquire is they should have replaced the heater core. The thermostat and hose were not the problem. I was charged $464.98 for work that was not needed and was high for the work completed.
VERY RUDE!!!!! Not willing to talk to anyone unless they have cash in hand.....
Sold my daughter a car with book value of $7k for $10k. Ok, that was her inexperienced 19-year old fault. But since then she has had to sink thousands of dollars into it. This guy is a classic used car salesman and should be avoided at ALL COSTS.
We took three cars here to have them detailed. Ron and Jesse in the service department are a real class act: intelligent, friendly and funny, and attentive. By the time we were finished, all three cars looked brand new (a 97 Rav4, a 2007 Tundra and a 2003 Impreza). It is terrific to see a business that takes customer service so seriously. Also, George the detailer has been doing cars for 30 years and knows what he is doing. Maguire is lucky to have him and so are we! Many thanks for doing a great job.
