Find a different health care provider. Guthrie has been the most frustrating provider I have had in forty years. Expect to spend at least two hours waiting for a twenty minute appointment. Expect to run out of medication even though you request refills weeks prior to running out. Expect to call to request medication five to eight times before anyone actually sends a prescription to your pharmacy. I will be finding a different provider. The level of care is subpar and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Been a long time patient here and loved the convenience of the group and the fact that they kept up with the times. The fact that it's near Cornell in Ithaca was a plus too. Some more of the benefits are its a multi practice so if your doctor is busy they will put you with a nurse practitioner but your doctor will be busy most of the time and the doctors staff will always act like they are doing you a huge favor and you have to call at least 6-7 times to get one call back on average. So while there are positives, its not enough to keep me here anymore. If you are planning to go there I would stay away from Dr. Estill and his office. He is so arrogant and a know it all. I was waiting for an MRI and I heard all of them Doctor included making fun of patients behind their back. I don't know where they hire their staff. The assistant and the nurse were so loud and unprofessional. His office never returns phone calls. So tonight I was there for something else and the staff at the front is just as bad, eating, cell phone out , not even paying attention, dressed like she's in a saloon. Young people these days. I'm not even that old but they have no customer service skills. Management is the same, I've talked to Sandy the manager before about Dr. Estill's staff and she promised it will be taken care of and nothing has changed. She had the same 'I don't care' attitude. There is so much potential but if you need anything taken care of look elsewhere. I am looking for a new doctor. I'm spreading the word before the same mistake happens to you.
