I worked at Rodneys for a couple months and actually got a friend a job with me. He was scheduled for 1 day a week when he lived 30 min away. Well he went in the next day and after he clocked in they fired him for “not being reliable” when he never called off, picked up extra shift. Well 6 weeks and a couple days now go by and they have yet to pay him. Disappointing but its a good thing I have a really great lawyer. So I would not recommend working here for not only just that reason, but a couple others. The head cook which goes by Erik, is disgusting. He is always touching the girls at work, including the 2 minors who call him “Daddy Erik”. Rodney is an interesting person to be around as well. I’ve never met anyone diagnosed Bipolar so this was a first for me. All I have to say is he goes out back to smoke weed a lot and comes in very manic. Shannon, his wife, is the opposite. He smokes weed outside all day while she comes into work reeking of alcohol and completely trashed. One of the dishwashers call off every Friday unless it’s payday. Also, one of the take out boys who’s been there for like 4 Year’s is lazy. He doesn’t do his job right, always takes the easy way out. All the other employees cant stand him and complain when they have to work with him. However I would not recommend eating here. When I worked in the kitchen, things are very unsanitary. I’ve seen cooks drop spoons on the floor and just pick it back up. Some dishwashers put away dishes that still have food and other gross things on them. I found so much stuff on cups for drinks at the server station. There’s only 1 person who cleans, washes down everything, doesn’t leave veggies and food laying out but unfortunately he only makes pizza, calzones, Strombolis and Italian hoagies so at least you know those are safe to order if you absolutely are desperate. Also forgot about this one time Rodney called someone the “N” word a couple years back.
This is the biggest rip-off place ever! They are currently running ads in at least three different coupon flyers & the Norwin Star. They are advertising a Giant 1-topping pizza for $6.99 -- just order ON-LINE and use coupon code newpizza1. I attempted to do this, and an error message keeps coming up saying "Invalid Code". When I called the telephone number listed in the ad, the worker told me that their online ordering system would NOT ACCEPT ANY COUPON CODES or discounts, and that it HASN'T WORKED IN MONTHS! He said he could sell me a Giant 1-topping pizza for $11.99, which is their regular menu price. I then asked to speak to a manager; the worker said no one was available. I asked the worker when management would be in, he replied "I dunno Mam." When I began questioning him about WHY they would continue to advertise this "special" when they obviously had no intention of honoring what they advertised, the only thing he would answer me with was "I dunno Mam." I continued to ask questions, and after I heard the same response for about the fourth time, I asked him if this is what "they" told him to say, and he replied "Yes Mam." I will NEVER do business with low-lifes like this. Talk about blatant false advertising!! Can't imagine what quality of food they would try to put over on their unsuspecting customers!
I was here for the first time, a few days ago. A friend invited me for dinner and drinks, and then to stay for their Live Entertainment. East Coast Turnaround was playing a set in their BIG, BEAUTIFUL Bar! The place was packed, but we still got fantastic service from the bartenders! The food was HOT and FRESH, and you can definitely tell that it's prepared "To-Order." Prices are VERY reasonable for the type and quality of food. Huge Beer Tap System - those prices were reasonable too! Anyone from Irwin that thinks this place is inferior to the DWG, is foolish. DWG's beer prices are higher than the Firepit's, plus their food is obviously pulled from a freezer, microwaved and served. I will definitely choose The Firepit over DWG any day!
I have been here many times since they opened (only 4 months ago,) and have never had anything but GREAT experiences! The food is different for the area, which is a huge welcome, compared to the corporate chains like Applebee's and Double wide. Having fresh-made, from scratch, food prepared by real chefs is a definite plus! Service is always impeccable!!! Fast and friendly! Another HUGE plus about this place is the ownership...a local husband and wife, that are always there checking on their guests, cleaning, and making sure that everyone is enjoying themselves. Atmosphere is very warm and trendy, and the entire restaurant is SUPER CLEAN!!! I will certainly be back, and will refer everyone to this AWESOME new addition to North Huntingdon!
I'm very fond of the food at applebee's. never ate something I didn't like and never had poor service. prices fit my budget
Terrible service. Horrible pizza. What they delivered was burnt and had no cheese on it. Called manager Megan. She made it clear not her problem and doesnt care. Do yourself a favor and order from anywhere else.
Everything that I've ever had here was fantastic! Very friendly staff and cool atmosphere! Will definitely return and recommend to others
Super long wait for barely any food at an astronomical price to leave there still hungry! Waited an hour to be seated and then another hour for the food to arrive. Waited all that time for barely any food. Left there still hungry had to stop somewhere else to eat again spending even MORE money! Multiple people who tried it told me the same exact horror story! Hopefully they make improvements cutting down wait times and either cut their costs or start serving bigger portions!
The food is very good, the beer is ice cold and the bartender and waitstaff are always very polite. Have noticed improvement as well from when they first opened. Also, have food delivered and they are super punctual unlike so many of the other food deliveries in the area.
Food was awesome when they first opened but now the food has considerable went down hill. Very disappointed.
