To start my experience in the past purchasing from Westway has been pleasant, this review is against the crooked service department and Fords policy towards not providing loaner vehicles due to manufacturing problems of THEIR vehicle! Took our explorer here for recalls or s/b whatever you want to call it. 2 issues 1 with a door panel and 1 with the carbon monoxide entering the cabin. We were told to bring it by so they could look at the car and order parts that were needed and made to believe we would drop it off when the parts came in and provided a loaner. When she brought the vehicle by she was told that they were not in fact recalls and loaners wouldn't be covered, I find it hard to believe that an issue with carbon monoxide-entering the cabin isn't treated more seriously, imagine how many people might not bring their vehicles in due to the cost they have to absorb? She was then shown all the maintenance that was due for the vehicle having 60k miles totaling over $700. We asked how much a transmission flush would cost and was told $200 and that a loaner would be provided if we went that route. At this point the entire reason for bringing the vehicle in for a Ford issue was completely flipped back to the consumer. I have no respect and trust for Ford and this dealership or as I call stealership. Also worth mentioning is I have purchased 2 brand new vehicles from this dealership totaling over 80k, so if they treat me this way I can only imagine. It's sad that your treated like a number everywhere you go these days. Stay away from this dealership as they simply want to sell you on maintenance you may or may not need.

Whatever you do, do not go to this dealership. I recently bought two cars from them. The first car they would not give me my paper work after signing told me they would mail it to me. Then they asked me to resign it because they had a date wrong. They changed the amount on the car and charged me another 3000$ The second car they added 3 months on to the loan time to hide the extra 3000$ they charged me. There financing dept is excellent at manipulating the numbers and paper work to fool you. Now i cant get them to honer or cancel the warranty they charge us an extra 5000$ for. The cars are already falling apart, and the nothing electrical works properly. I cant even use the voice controls and the GPS sends me to dead ends and sometimes no where. This is the worst vehicle i have owned. I will never buy from any ford again!!

BAD BAD Experience

Received a good deal from Mr little but was taken to closing with sales manager Calvin where I waited for over an hour. Ended up leaving with pre-approved check in hand and started to receive calls from Calvin asking where I am. Explained that I would come back following day when they were properly staffed and to have sales person jeff Little call me. Called following day but was told they sold the car that I had a deposit on. NO ONE including salesman Jeff Little called me to they sold the car and was a HUGE waste of time.

Brought the same offer to Sam Pack Ford and deal was done very quickly and all were very professional. RUN FROM WESTWAY FORD

A waste of my time

My car was wreck due to a drunk driver. I needed a car, but I knew my credit was very, very, very bad. I was broke and I could only put down $500.00 I was in the market for a used vehicle. I needed a truck. I went to Westway Ford not really expecting that they could help me. I explained my situation to Spencer Sales Manager and he asked that I fill out a credit application, so I did. He told me that he could get me into a new truck. I didn't understand how he could do that with my credit and all. So, I schedule a time to visit him on a Saturday morning. When I first arrived Spencer shuttle me over to another Salesman name Chris Pruneda. A very nice guy. I also explained to him about my credit and me being divorced. I mean my credit score came back at 438. Even when we ran the numbers Chris said that my previous car came back as a repo, which was wrong because the insurance had told me that they had paid it off. Chris explained to me that the communication between the insurance company and the lien holder on my car was probably not communicating. Anyway, Chris still ran the numbers and said that he could get me into a new truck. I told him that I didn't know if I could afford a new truck. He told me that he would have a better chance of getting me into a new car than a used car, so I said okay what can you do for me. The offer that we agreed upon was the Ford F150 Extended cab truck for $23,000.00 with a 12.99 APR (when we first started they wanted me at 19.99 APR) $500 down and $538 a month. I agreed on that and we then went to financing. The gentleman that work with me was kind of condescending. I can not remember his name but he tried to sell me gap insurance for an additional $169 per month. I told him no. Somehow he got it in his head that I had a cosigner, but when I told him no, I was either going to get this truck on my own or I was not going to get it. He said, No, problem, We'll get you approved"". We'll a few moments later I signed the papers and I drove away in a new truck. I was very ecstatic and thought my Salesman worked a miracle. This all took place on January 15, 2011. Well, 2 days ago, I received a text message (NOT A PHONE CALL) that my funding for my new truck feel through. I thought, what? I have gad my new truck driving a new truck and put 1100 miles on it and they are telling me that it is now going to have to be returned if I can not get a cosigner. Well, I asked a few people if they could cosign for me and one said yes, but even with this cosigner I could not get financed. Today, Spencer called me and told me that He needed me to return the truck today, and I told him that I could bring it in tomorrow since the roads were all iced over. He said okay, but then he got snotty with me and said that to make sure that I bring it back tomorrow. I am not mad that I could not get financing, the result of my bad credit is my doing not Westway Ford. What I am mad about is that they wasted my time leading me to believe that I was all set to start a new life in my new truck., but now it is gone. I would have been okay with them telling at the onset that they could not get me into that truck than to have my hopes get shattered 1 month later. I looked it up on the internet to see if they can do this, and as I thought they can. The reason they gave me the truck without first securing the loan was so that I wouldn't back out before the financing took place. They took a risk on me. To me this speaks volumes about Westway Ford's character, It tells me that they are more interested in a person's money than the person. Shame on you Westway. I will be seeing you tomorrow to drop off the truck, You wasted a month of my time, so I will do all in my power to spread the word about your character.

Buyer Beware

I bought a car there years ago. They have quite a sales scheme going on there. A group of them come in and out of the room, figures are bandied about, deals are offered. Their goal is to get you as confused and dazed as possible, get your trade-in car that day (even without legal papers), and get you going in a new car (even if they can't prep the car that day). They were unfortunately successful with me. Lesson learned. When I was there, I saw middle aged experienced male buyers sitting around looking dazed. This sales staff knows what it's doing, all right. THEN we struck a deal. They agreed to take my trade-in without legal papers, saying they'll send in to the state and get the papers. Okay. Then I drove off in my new car, after they assured me that the prep guys were working on Sat. and the car had been properly prepped (a lie). Before I got home (it was dark), gradually all the lights went out, one by one. THEN they expected me to take off work to take the car in to be prepped AND to pay for a rental car to do it! Imagine! I pitched a fit, called corporate offices, etc., etc. I got a rental car. The car got prepped. Okay. THEN they call me back later to try to get the legal papers for the car, the owner's manual, more financial references, family members names & numbers, etc. In other words, they want to RENOGIATE, but only if THEY get more out of the deal. Imagine! I calmly told them I'd be willing to renogiate, but that would involve both of us going back to the table to renegotiate, where they get more than they got, and I also get more than I got. The guy got very angry, started shouting at me (I'm not kidding), calling me names, and then hanging up on me. Imagine! Sure, I could've given them those things. But the deal was done. It was obvious this was a scheme from the start, and that they regularly do this. I didn't fall for it. It was a done deal. Finito. There was no way I'd go back to the negotiating table just for the purpose of ONE PARTY ONLY to get more than they bargained for, esp. when THEY are the professionals! Now, had they treated me better about prepping the car, not being rude to me once I had bought a car (the salesman forgot my name and refused to speak to me once I had signed the contract), I might have been inclined to be nice to them. I have wondered since then if they got in trouble, legally. Because, you see, it occurred to me later that it probably is illegal for a dealer to buy a car that doesn't have legal papers. THEN I was sent a review rating paper from the car manufacturer. Well, I told them the whole story, ending with the true statement that I WILL NEVER CROSS THE THRESHOLD OF THAT HELL-HOLE AGAIN. It was truly a nightmare experience. Buyer beware. Avoid this company like the plague.

Our salesman was the greatest!!!

This is my second Ford vehicle and third purchase from WestWay. I have and will continue to recommend my salesman and Ford vehicles to everyone I know. My purchase of a 2010 Escape replaced a 2000 Ford Explorer. I bought 1 set of new tires (1 set were free Firestone replacements) and $800 in minor repairs in 10 years! What a great truck!!! i hope this one does so well. P.S. recommended the Escape, WestWay and my salesman to my sister-in-law and she bought a new Escape the week I did.

It was great.

We were only looking to buy in the future.. but our salesman, really helped us, no pressure. We test drove the Fusion, but we settled for the Edge. They explained everything we needed to know, and more. Justin in Finance Dept. was very nice and made our transaction go very smooth. We'll definitely be back.

just avoid if you can the poeple were rude the service was unbeleiveably poor , they left my dipstick to my transmission sticking out charged me way over what should have been charged for them replaceing spark plugs and wiring . I have always gone to a ford mechanic for my car's but i will never go back there i still get upset when thinking on how we were treated there .

Go see Paris!

We just bought a truck at Westway ford. The sales process was pretty good thanks to our salesman, Paris. We felt a lot of pressure during the financing process, but overall a good experience.
