Shady Grove Cleaners

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Please be aware if you plan on taking your clothes there. On 5/15, we dropped off a new black Guess Blazer to get it pressed at Shady Grove Cleaners. Delilah gave us a receipt it would be ready the next day. When we returned 5/16, she said the blazer was not yet ready, to come back the next day. When we returned again 5/17, she said the blazer was still not ready.

We were getting nervous because the blazer was for my Dad's wedding that Fri. We stressed the urgency of having it for the ceremony at 5pm. We returned 5/18 and nothing. I personally went to the store around 12pm and waited over 2 hrs as they searched for it. I spoke to store manager Angel at the store & on the phone with the area manager Juan Andrade.

Juan spoke to the owner & he agreed to replace the blazer. I was to go purchase the $216 with my own money, bring the receipt back & receive a refund. Simple. I left the store at around 2pm after that agreement. Instead of getting ready & dressed for my parents wedding, I had to rush to find the same blazer for the wedding ceremony in less than 2 hrs. I was not able to find the right size so I purchased a different blazer for $240. We are now out $456.

On 5/21, we dropped off the receipt for the replacement blazer to Angel. She made a copy of the receipt and signed it. My main communication was with Juan, the area manager over a span of 3 wks, with no resolution as I waited for the owner to call me to discuss. We spoke and texted almost every weekday. It was after a week Juan told me they found the blazer and to go pick it up. A week later, after spending $456.

Juan suggested to press the replacement jacket & return it to Saks for our money back.. and we can get the original jacket now that is has been found. This is extremely unethical. We did not pick up the found blazer, they still have it. I have receipts for everything and text conversations. We just want to get our money back at this point.
