Dr. Kristen Carmichael is a proud native Texan who attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. As a college student, she was fascinated by science and medicine and volunteered in hospitals throughout the metroplex. Following graduation, she attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and then did her OB/GYN residency at St. Josephs Hospital. Returning home to be close to family, she visited Las Colinas and fell in love with the serenity, beauty, and proximity to Dallas. She has lived in Las Colinas and practiced at Medical City Las Colinas since 2004. Dr. Carmichael said, I love my job and the ongoing variety that being an OB/GYN physician provides, including a full range of obstetric care, preventative care, in-office procedures, and gynecologic surgery, including minimally invasive surgery. Board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Carmichael is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, the Dallas County Medical Society, and Phi Beta Kappa. She appreciates and is humbled by the recurring recognition she has received from DFW Child as a Mom-Approved Doctor and Best OB/GYN in Irving and Coppell, by Living Magazine readers.
