Here's my review for It Models. I am a model. That's all I do. That is 95% of my income. I have been a professional working model (working more some months than others!) in New York and LA for 11 years now.In this industry, you learn several things that you won't find in the model's handbook. One of which is to always pay attention to the client and casting director during small talk. In the one year I was with (then Brand Talent, and now It Models) "How's Linda?! We just LOVE her!" was the first line out of every casting director and clients' mouth, every time. Every time. It's not an easy job we do. Feelings get hurt, people take things too personally. To hear so many people ask so consistently about my agent? That resonates. When Linda Robirds left Brand Models after 22 years as an agent there, it was a no brainer leaving with her. On paper, it was a risk. Brand is a big agency, and I had the most successful year of my life working with them. It would be a new endeavor; a smaller staff, a lot of retooling. But my takeaway from my first big year in LA was: "How's Linda?? We just love her."I'm thrilled to say I've worked even MORE since It formally opened its doors in June. I have referred several friends and they all work nonstop too. We could run down the boring stuff; client lists, years in business- the stuff that looks good on paper- but the truth of the matter is, there is just something to be said for the people in this town that believe in others. The supporters, the cheerleaders, and the indefatigable hard workers. Linda Robirds and Marlyn Klaarmond are two very rare examples of just that. Simply put, they're the best agents I've ever had, and not only do I work nonstop as a model, they've raised the bar for how to do good, honest work in our industry.I like that 'five stars' on Yelp means 'As good as it gets', because truly, It Models, and the agents who run it, are absolutely as good as it gets.
Linda and Marlyn are the BEST agents in the business. Linda has been my booker for over 20 years and started her career @ Brand Model and Talent agency. After 22 years in the business she decided to go off on her own and start It Model Management. I have been a model for 25 years and have had agencies in both LA and OC. Linda and Marlyn truly cares about her talent and have set the bar VERY high in this crazy industry. Their genuine compassion for their talent and love for what they do is evident and VERY unique in this business. Not only do these ladies represent, protect and fight for their models they also are loved by every casting director and client they work with. I am blessed to be with this agency and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for representation.
