WARNING DO NOT USE ADVANTAGE RENTAL CAR THEY DO NOT UPHOLD RESERVATIONSDo not use Advantage Rental car. They are a company who lacks integrity and do not uphold their commitments. I made a reservation with them through Orbitz.com three weeks before I needed it. It was confirmed and everything seemed set. Except when I arrived to get my car exactly as I had scheduled to do. They said they were sold out and they had a "first come first serve policy," (funny this policy isn't on the reservation site)." The representatives were not apologetic or helpful. They said they couldn't do anything and then laughed and joked with each other without spending a second to come up with creative solutions. Customer service was a foreign idea to them. Myself and the 2-3 other people who thought a confirmed reservation actually meant something were sorry out of luck. I don't know how long they've been in business but I can't imagine it will be for much longer. With no integrity and no customer service . . . Even corporations reap what they sow. Save yourself the wasted time on your vacation.

Michelle, shuttle driver very accommodating.Young lady at booth when I drove away friendly. Very happy with car & return was quick + easy with nice woman. Only gesture that would improve experience is instructions on how to operate various items in the car !
LAX is far from my favorite place, and I've had many car rental experiences that contributed to that. Alamo is the exception. We didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for the shuttle, and the driver was especially friendly and helpful. I was expecting the check-in line to be a madhouse, because that's what I've experienced at other well-known agencies, but it wasn't! The process was so smooth & painless. The cars were in good shape and returning the car was equally a breeze. I will never rent at another agency if I fly into LAX.

Plane was late due to LAX issues on traffic ground control. When We reached the rental facility which is another story on its own, car was not there and had to get on a waiting list waiting for cars. Even though we had reserved the cars were given in random order. So our total delay on top of the other delay was very bad... They need to handle this situation better during the busy times.
Very disappointed with the LA Airport National. It took over 40 minutes for a shuttle to show up, after watching every other rental car company sending multiple shuttles. Then no cars available, and when I took the shuttle back, the driver told me where I had to sit? Really? I don't rent over 30 cars a year to be told where I have to sit on a shuttle.
Excellent pricing, outstanding customer treatment, very good selection of full-sized cars and fast "no waiting" shuttles make Alamo my top choice at LAX. Hint: Check out Last-Minute Specials online.

I was going to L.A. for 2 days. The rate I received online at about $13 per day, total with taxes, without any additional insurance, but adding in those mandatory airport or Los Angeles fees to help them build the staple center came to a total of a very reasonable $45 for the two days total. I received a quick service, my choice of vehicles in the classified selected, compact, a clean car, and when I turned it in I was able to be on a bus with in a minute or two of pulling the car into the slot. The parking lot attendant and to be read receipt for the exact amount I expected. I could not have asked for better service, and have used alible several times in the past including at the LAX terminal i've never had anything but excellent service there.
