My experience with Dr. Deborah Mann has always been excellent. It is so great to have an eye doctor you can have full confidence in plus the eyeglass personnel do a great job, too.
Nancy needs to attend a customer service seminar and probably a senior care one as well. My mother stated her social security number was wrong, Nancy said “don’t worry about it, it will be corrected”. It was not corrected. The number was still incorrect the next day. I felt we were shoved around like cattle for the 3 hours we were there. The “waiting room” was nothing more than a crowded hallway that provides no privacy between families; something you may expect if this were an HMO facility nor did I love the slamming door.I did not get to hear aftercare instructions. I waited in the car for 20 minutes before I went back in to find out where my mother was, Nancy was busy chewing on food and did not know where my mother was. Guess where she was? She was in the bathroom getting sick. I should have been notified IMMEDIATELY that she was not feeling well.The most unforgiveable offense is when I called triage at 3pm with a question of aftercare. I left a message. NO CALL BACK! My mother had 6 pages of instructions laying out on her kitchen table. If I had to call to ask a question, imagine how confusing this is to seniors!By the way, the triage nurse that wheeled my mom out was wearing dangling earrings; something I would accept if I were in a bar ordering a drink and when I emailed ESI to ask for a name and contact to send a complaint, no response but I’m not surprised.Going forward, my suggestion on how to salvage the name of Eye Surgeons of Indiana:•Educate staff on common courtesies•Allow family members to be with patients until actual surgery•Become HIPPA solvent, get rid of the waiting hallway and make the room private when the families speak with you•Improve triage call backsKim Mullins

I have been going to Whitson Vision for several years now and have to say this is the happiest I have ever been with my vision! I was not a candidate for LASIK but the doctors at Whitson Vision were able to recommend and fit me with contacts that I could get my best potential and take care of my dry eyes. The newly renovated office looks nice. Other than that nothing positive to say. They are supposed to run eligibility for my son's insurance before they even have you come in and they failed to do so, resulting in me wasting my entire morning for nothing. They should have let me know ahead of time that something was wrong with his coverage so I wouldn't have even wasted my time coming to the appointment. So now my kid still has no glasses and I lost out on time at work.
I am a patient of Dr. Stephen Johnson at Midwest & can I just tell you he is amazing? I've been seeing him for approx 2 Years for my Keratoconus. I wasn't always the best patient, I rescheduled a few appointments & was reluctant to have the corneal transplant that was needed. However, once I decided to commit & move forward, I was immediately reassured as I have always been that I was in the right hands. The team was remarkable with being supportive & informative. Regarding the surgery; Dr. Johnson did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier with the care I am receiving & I am very optimistic that me having this surgery was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. I wish you all the best of luck with your outcome & prayers that your outcome & care is as good as I have received. Also, I am only 2 days post from my surgery & I have a some pain & mostly discomfort but my eye feels much better today than it did prior to having this surgery. ! Teas R. Utley
Sold me some glasses and the frame is no good . name brand fakes. I have had to glue the frame 5 times.
The costs for this eye doctor are outrageous. For a new pair of glasses, contact appointment and evaluation I was somewhere near $800. After having endless problems with my contacts, and spending more money with follow up appointments (3 additional appointments at close to $80 each with medical insurance), they refused to release my contact prescription when I had an outstanding balance (somewhere near $100), and then refused because I was over a year from my last "contact appointment" but not my last follow up. I should clarify the front desk woman who I spoke to about releasing my prescription did not tell me they would not release my prescription on the phone, but instead sent me a letter with my outstanding balance. The two women I spoke on the phone with were incredibly rude. It's unfortunate such a great community like Irvington who prides itself on small businesses, has been plagued by such an overly-priced chain brand.
My appointment for my special needs son was at 9:30.....I walked out at 11:30 without any conclusion. Kept us waiting, and waiting. It was the most disrespectful show of their lack of caring for our time. Will never go back.
I have a very hectic schedule and I despise malls. My repair was done fast AND they traveled to me to do it around my crazy schedule. For me that alone was gold! • Repair took less than 30 min for me • Part was OEM • Tech was super professional and respectful of my home (was going to remove shoes at the door without being asked to do so) • Payment was smooth and I was emailed my receipt instantly Awesome service, I would definitely use them again.
