This place is a simple, but loveable, Mexican taqueria. Just North of Washington Square Mall, at 10th and Mitthoeffer. (NE corner.) This was my first time here. This place has been in business at least two and a half years that I've been aware of. I noticed it while filling up at the next-door Speedway gas station, at least that long ago. I like these hole-in-the-wall humble authentic places that cater to a Mexican clientele. Opening hours (11 am) are posted on the door, but not the closing hours. I asked when they closed and was told "when there are customers, later, and when there aren't customers, earlier." Menu is very limited, with tacos, tortas (sandwiches), and burritos. The tacos are not tex-mex american (or Taco Bell) style, but just some meat in a tortilla. The burrito was the "put the toppings and the sides all inside" style. I was disappointed they didn't have a chicken option for burritos, but they had 8 other options, including tongue, and brains (cesos). I'd avoid eating cow brains, even well-cooked, as that is where the BSE (mad cow disease) resides, in the brain and spinal cord. And temperature doesn't destroy the things that cause BSE, "prions." Weekend menu has more items, but the only one I remember is birria (lamb). Good birria is good, and most of the birria that I've tried in town is good. So if you're at a birria-on-the-weekends place, try it some weekend. You're probably going to think I'm a little generous in my rating. But something about this place really appealed to me. The clientele included families with little kids. The spirit of the place and staff was just right for me. The cook and waitress were confident, friendly, put-you-at-ease types. So I'm giving them my "Linus' Sincere Pumpkin Patch Award". The men's room was out of "papel higienico" but was clean. If you like clean, cozy, friendly, little hole-in-the-walls that serve simple authentic Mexican food, you ought to like it. And they must be doing something right to stay in business this long.

Talk about a restaurant? This was more like eating at a family reunion. From walking in the door to being seated, on a Saturday evening at 6PM, we were immediately seated followed by chips/salsa. The salsa itself could have made a meal for us! We added some queso for the chips to top off the appetizer experience. I had the Monterey Fajitas, choice of Chicken, which had red & yellow peppers, mushrooms, onions, topped off with Monterey & served on a sizzling skillet. Right smack in the center was a green chile - so if you're one to have your body 'light up' with a spicy food, a nibble of that chile on a cold night would turn you into a furnace. :):) If you can't really handle or like that much spice, the chile is still on its stem and you don't have to even worry about it. Needless to say, this was enough for FOUR people, not just one!!!! Also came with pico de gallo, guacamole, lettuce, refried beans, and sour cream. Partner had a Senora Burrito, again, enough to serve at least two people. It looked like a footlong sandwich except it was a burrito - all kidding aside!! Nothing but flavor-filled and another 'eat until you're stuffed' situation. Congradulations to the team at Cancun Mexicana at 6473 N Keystone in Indy!! We felt like we were at home, had food within minutes, cooked with perfection, full of flavor, and a staff that ensured you never had to wait for a thing!! NO other restuarant can compete!!! Gracias a todos de la mejor cena! Ningún otro restaurante puede competir!
Visited this restaurant on Friday afternoon. The service was alright, got seated right away, chips and salsa was brought within a couple of minutes and the waitress took our order soon after. The food was a different story, while it was not bad, it wasn't anything to be excited about either. The food was lacking any type of flavor, it was plain and simple. Prices were about the same as most Mexican Restaurants but flavor wise, it left a lot to be desired. On my visit, I saw a lot customers(couples) eating there. Unfortunately, I won't visit this restaurant again. I have visited many Mexican restaurants and the lack of flavor of the food on this one is a deal breaker for me.
I didn't find this restaurant in the Indianapolis listing and not sure why. It is a very good and reasonably priced restaurant. There is actually another one further North on Emerson , just North of Thompson Road. Both sites share the same menu, a clean and friendly Mexican decor, with a friendly Mexican staff. Our family always enjoys the food with a ample selection of the Mexican basics, tacos, tamales, enchilada's, burritos. I think their pinto beans are especially flavorful. We always leave full and satisfied. It's really worth giving it a try! This location is the newer one, the one north on Emerson has been there for several years. Enjoy!
We love this place. The food is top notch authentic. The prices are not bad especially since you get so much food. Can be a little difficult to communicate when no one is there that speaks English, but its still worth it. We usually get it to go on the weekends because it can get really loud and busy. The food is good enough we drive 15 minutes to eat there even though we are surrounded by other Mexican restaurants.
I live by 42 & Post so I love to go to the one on midhoffer. The place is really big so there is no bumping in to strangers, like in other places. They also have a place were the kids can play, wen I go with my britheres I send them there. The peole are so nice and atentive.I really Like to go shoping there + the store has a bacury, hare solne and other thing. You should go, its nice
The atmosphere was very comfortable. Everything we had was fresh and the presentation was very nice. The food was very good and the place was clean. The guacamole is made to order mild medium or spicy with jalapeño and I highly recommend spending the $7 or $8 and trying it. Bring an appetite. I'll defanatly be going back again.
My husband and I love to go to El Rodeo #20 because the staff is so friendly and the food/drinks excellent. Oscar, Alex, Martin, Javiar and all of the staff treat us like family. This is the place my family meets us for good times and celebrations. Alex, the manager, will go out of his way to see that you enjoy yourself!
We really enjoy our meals at La Parada. The food is always very good and the quality is always the best. The service is sometimes a bit slow, but that may be because they are always very busy. My children and I spend our celebration dinner here all the time, and will continue to do so in the future.
Visiting this Qdoba's is always a great experience. It is always clean, and the service is fast and friendly. A friend that I was with one day even got to do the chicken dance and won a free lunch. The manager is a real nut but a fun guy!
