Toured wasn't super impressed with the overall facility, there is construction so that may play a part but the staff were not friendly I was there after hours staff not really willing to answer questions and it just didn't really have an inviting feeling
So far it's been an experience, to say the least. They tell the doctors that they are capable of taking care of people with special needs, but that is only to get the beds filled. Once there the staff is nice to family, but completely clueless. They over drug the patients and when someone gets out of control they ship them off to the wrong hospital (3 times now). Sadly I may have to put Dad back there until another place decides to take him.
Most of the nursing staff was dedicated. CNA's were iffy. Their accounting local people were good but OMG, corporate accounting was messed up. We got bills that we didn't owe for over a year after he died.I had a night shift nurse call me and said he wasn't breathing well. My first question to her was: Did you call 911? She hadn't. I was livid that she wasted time calling me first even though it was policy to call 911 immediately.
Very friendly family oriented facility. While it is not as new as some, they keep the facilities in great shape and very clean. The care they have shown my dad during his stay has been very good - they have been very positive, laughing, and helpful in addition to their regular duties. The facility itself has a nice homey feel with lots of trees around it plus plenty of sidewalks for exercie. Even though the back is near Arlington Avenue, it has proven a very peaceful and quiet location. Will review again after my dad is released and if everything still goes so well would definitely up it to five stars.
