Stratford Place Apartments
6050 Castleford Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46203
I dont know if this will help or not, but please do NOT call the 3173791576 number listed here. it is a PERSONAL cell phone. I have never been to Stratford apartments nor know where the hell it is. So please do NOT call me looking for them. especially you people that like to call every day after I have told you I am not them. I have tried to tell them to take my number off of this listing a good five times already, and they have failed to do so.
Hello if you are considering moving to Stratford place apartments DON'T. The management staff, now being ran by Inna, is rude, self centered, narcissistic and cares very little for the residents. The crime (apartment and vehicle break-ins) continue to be a problem, seemingly increasing. The neighborhood is over run by unsupervised kids who pick on other kids and vandalize others vehicles.
Management insists on entering your unit every other month to inspect/invade on your living space to "see" how your living. They are extremely slow with snow removal, both the roads and sidewalks.
Point of this is: poorly managed, high risk of your apartment or car being broke into and visible drug use and dealing. STAY AWAY!!!!!

I applied to Stratford Place Apartments in the beginning of February and was told I was next on the list to get an apartment and that I had already been approved. Well after a few weeks passed by I gave them a call and was told they would be in contact with me when an apartment became available. Then a month passed by and another with me still calling them, and nothing until finally June of this year I recieved a message on my answering machine from the apartments asking if I was still interested in living there. I returned the phone call and no one could seem to figure out where my file was and they asked if I was interested in applying to the apartments, when I already had and had supposedly been approved. Then I was told to give them my name and number and they would contact me after they found my file and saw what else they needed from me. I called later that day just before they closed and again was asked the same questions and told to give my name and number and they would contact me. I waited 2 days before calling them again, but yet again was told they would take my number and call back. By Monday of the next week I called and told the woman who answered what I had gone through with them and wanted to know what was going on did they have and apartment for me or should I just move on. She put me on hold and pulled my file and then told me the documents I needed to bring in before they could get me in and seemed like she had a space for me. I brought the papers in to her, but was told I needed more paperwork by the man that was in the office. So the next day before coming I called and asked if there was anything else I should bring before I came in and of course there was so I was glad I had called before having to make another trip up there. Yet, when I got there they said they just were looking over the file and realized it was from February and they needed more updated information, so I was going to have to come back again. Finally all paperwork in I waited for them to call me back, but of course a week went by and I had to call them again, and of course they needed information from me. And after all of this they called and said they had an apartment for me ready to move in whenever I was yet the rent was not what was quoted in the beginning and I was told they had no apartments available with that rent at the time or that he could see in the near future. I wasted all the time and gas getting them my paperwork and having to call them for NOTHING.

I went in to lease an apartment on 9/9/09 and was advised that I Would be advised with in 48 hours if I was accepted or not. I then was told that it would take another 24/48 hours due to not recieving information from my spouses employer. Then I was told it would take another week for the decision on if we were accepted for this apartment. I asked if I should start looking around because I told the leasing agent I needed an apartment for 10/1/09. I was promissed that we would be accepted. I was told we were already pre -approved and she said in her words "" I PINKY SWEAR YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MOVE IN ON 10/1/09"" I waited and waited and I finally called her on 9/24/09 and left a voice mail to see if there was any news, the leasing agent did not even call me back to speak with me, she left me a voice mail saying in her words ""I DON""T KNOW WHY BUT YOU WERE DENIED"" no apology NOTHING!!!! I called her back and again she did not answer so I left a voice mail and asked if I could have my holding fee of 100.00 back and she never called me back. I called again on 9/25/09 from an unknown number and she answered and said, "" I got your voice mail you can pick it up when ever"" I got there to pick it up and again no apology no remorse for all of the swearing and promisses that she made to us. Now I have 5 buisness days to find a home for me and my famaily. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!!! IF THIS IS THE WAY THEY RUN THEIR OFFICE, I WOULD HATE TO SEE THE WAY THEY TREAT THE TENANTS. MY ADVISE IS....STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS THEY WILL LIE, PROMISE AND TAKE YOUR MONEY UNDER FALSE PRETENSES AND YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH OUT A PLACE TO LIVE!!!!
At first I thought this apartment would be a nice place to live. But I soon realized I was wrong. The maintenace men come in and out of the apartments for no reason and things dissapear. And I moved in at the beginning of spring and there was a major bumble bee and wasp problem. When I called the manager she told me that I had to take care of the problem by spraying the hive knocking it down and then stomping on it!!!! I mean what the H#$!!. Do NOT Move in here.
